South America is a wonderful destination! 

There are many opportunities to see penguins and other animals as they live in the wild. You can even find flamingos in Chile. And, of course, a visit to the Galapagos is unforgettable.

Did you know the largest dinosaur ever discovered was in Argentina? You can see it there at Museo Paleontologico Egidio Ferugalio (MEF).

It was the dream of a lifetime to visit  Machu Picchu and Cuzco and they did not disappoint.

Patagonia and the beautiful Torres del Paine are not always on every one's wish list, but they should be. The Towers of Paine (in English) are as beautiful as Alaska.

We loved the vibrant Buenos Aries, where carnivores must visit a traditional steakhouse. And, of course, you can learn to tango there-or just watch.

One of our favorite cities was  Montevideo, a very walk able  and interesting city.

The Falkland Islands are stark and the people are very friendly. Lots of penguins!

Sailing Cape Horn was a remarkable experience.

South America has so much to offer. A cruise is a good way for an introduction for first-timers.

It's been a blast working with Gretchen! She knows everything about Virgin Voyages and has ALWAYS been available via email to quickly answer any/all of my questions. I really cherish working with someone who is so responsive and knowledgeable. She booked our back-to-back 4-day plus 5-day cruise on Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady, finding the same cabin on each cruise so we didn't have to move rooms.

She (and sometimes Nichole) answered all my questions, even after-hours and even when we were actually on the cruise and had questions. It was our first time cruising with Virgin and Gretchen made sure that our Blue Extras status match came through and also secured us $200 Sailor Loot (on board credit) for each cruise. She provided great tips about Virgin, explained how the cruising experience is different with Virgin, and even made us breakfast reservations for on board.

I'd work with Gretchen and Nichole again in a heartbeat!
