We just completed our second trip that Lori has planned with our third trip already scheduled for next spring. Our last trip was hectic leaving Austin when a fire alarm went off at ABIA and the entire airport had to be completely evacuated. After the evacuation, every passenger had to go through security screening again. Needless to say, four hours later we had all missed our flight to Montreal. No worry for us! I don’t know how she did it, but she managed to rebook our entire group of twenty through two different airports and get us into Montreal the same day so that we didn’t disrupt any of our scheduled tour activities the following day! Lori is an extremely organized and competent travel agent. Lori organized a trip to Panama for a group of retired UT faculty and staff in February 2020. Since I was the leader of this trip's group, Lori made sure that I had all the information I needed on the travelers and knew what to expect upon arrival in Panama City. Once we located our driver in baggage claim, we loaded the vans for our weeklong vacation. Since this trip, Lori is already working on two new trips for this group in 2022. I was extremely satisfied with the service that Lori provided for our group going to Dubai in October 2025. She handled our arrangements in a quick and professional manner . She took care of our flights and a 5-star hotel accommodation at the very beginning of us seeking information about the trip. The tours that she planned did include the main features of Dubai and we enjoyed all the tours. It was an awesome experience to go to the top of the tallest building in the world. The tour guide that Lori got for us was very knowledgeable, personable and accommodating. I also endured an injury while on the trip and was not able to contact anyone from the travel insurance. But, after speaking with Lori, she was able to get in touch with them, who in turn did reach out to me. Whenever any of our group had an issue or concern, Lori was on hand to help fix it. Strengths - The places visited were wonderful such as The Burj Khalifa, the Ferrari Store, The Miracle Garden and the Mosque. The hotel was very nice and the staff was friendly, accommodating and attentive to our needs. The breakfast was one of the best I've had at any hotel I've been to. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the city and was able to answer the questions we had. The bus was very comfortable. Opportunities for a better experience include: 1. Would rather tour the city by a Hop on/Hop off bus instead of a city tour. Some of the unique places in Dubai we would have been able to visit had we been on the Hop on/Hop off bus include the Museum of the future, the world tallest picture frame, the world tallest Ferris wheel and the Burj Al Arab (7 star hotel). Also we would have had more time to spend at places such as the Ferrari Store, 2. Would like to have a choice of excursions to pick from instead of including two in the packet. 3. The Yacht Dinner was not what was expected. The boat seemed old and the food was buffet style. The boat was more like the Memphis Showboat instead of a yacht and the meal was subpar, 4. Need to include conditions on the excursion such as how much walking, how much waiting and how long. We went to the Tallest building and most of us left all our bags on the bus not knowing we would be standing/waiting in a very long and crowded line for over an hour. This was the 18th country I have vacationed at and it was one of my favorite. Looking forward to more trips with Lori Threat.

It was an awesome trip. Prior to the trip Lori arranged a zoom call to summarize the details of the trip and we were given the opportunity to voice any concerns and to add on any other excursions during our day. The travel to Dubai was excellent. There were no hiccups between our connections or arrival transportation. Lori provided a detail itinerary prior to the trip that was very helpful with packing the necessary clothing and any other expenses that would be required. Daily transportation was provided for all excursions. Our stay at JW Marriott was outstanding. The room was very spacious , clean, and the entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. Most importantly, 24 hour contact information was also provided in case of an emergency. This was one of the most enjoyable trip ever. I booked a trip to Japan a few years ago with Lori and it was amazing as well. I am definitely looking forward to the next trip planned by Lori Threatt.

I belong to a retired association that likes to provide travel three times a year to its membership. Lori has been our travel agent for five years now finding trips we've asked for and others that are just good deals. Peru wasn't even on my radar until she brought it to our group. What an amazing experience! I never dreamed I would see Machu Pichu or Lake Titicaca in person. The trip catered to our group, who are all older travelers. She worked with Mayflower to be sure we knew what to expect. I would definitely recommend Lori to anyone who needs assistance with travel or just wants someone to take care of it all for them.

The hotels were wonderful and the food was delicious. I appreciated going to museums and hearing from local people, as opposed to shopping. I prefer learning to shopping. I particularly liked our guide in Cuzco. He was very informative. Lori was very helpful in answering questions and getting the information we needed. She responds quickly to emails. Plus, she's friendly and kind. That goes a long way.

From the land portion to the cruise, it was all spectacular! Lori did an awesome job with our travel arrangements. All we had to do was enjoy the trip—the scenery—the food—the company we kept—and create the memories.

We booked a last-minute trip to Paris from London and only had a short time there to see what we could see. Lori helped get us a perfectly customized, go-at-our-own-pace tour of what we wanted to see. We got into Notre Dame, Louvre and didn't waste any time with transportation, directions, wondering where to go, or anything but pure vacationing enjoyment. Julian was our guide, who not only answered every question we had but also chipped in with other information after getting to know us better and what we'd likely want to know. We're 100% doing this again, and next time we'll go for a full week so we can bring in more of what Paris has to offer, again at our own pace and with expert tour guides and transportation.

Lori helped me plan a trip to Switzerland and Italy. I gave her an outline of what my husband and I wanted to see and do. She fine-tuned it and made some wonderful recommendations. We started in Zurich, then to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn. Traveled to Milan to see the "Last Supper" and ended in Florence for a family celebration. Hotel reservations in 4 cities, eurail pass, activities and tours; she did it all! Best was the recommendations for the Glacier and Bernina Express trains. Thanks to Lori's knowledge of this we had a remarkable trip through the Alps up close. Lori checked in with us during our vacation and also sent us flight updates for our trip home. It's fun to plan a trip; especially with Lori's help.

Portugal was great and Lori makes the journey seamless every time! Even with travel delays due to plane mechanical issues, she manages everything so well—calmly and efficiently down to every detail. I enjoyed this trip very much because you took care of all my travel needs. I was able to relax and not worry about plane reservations, room accommodations and site visits for my trip. The cities we visited were amazing and of historical significance. The architecture of the villages were inspired by ancient cultures and traditions. Was transformed in time when we visited them. It was a great experience.

Lori is an excellent travel coordinator. She recently rebooked all of us on a trip to Portugal when we missed our flight due to airline issues. She handles issues and makes it look easy. Lori is fun to travel with and I enjoy talking with her.

First time planning a trip with Lori. I usually do all the planning for vacations but since there were a few of us, Lori's expertise made the planning a breeze. She asks questions; getting to the nitty gritty of what you actually want in this vacation. From, excursions, lodging and transfers, she has excellent knowledge of Venice and Athens. Lori even found a once in a life time opera that was amazing. Being on a cruise between Venice and Athens, she made sure we had luggage tags, dinner sitting assignments and suggestions for excursions. A fine example of her ability, competence and helpfulness happened when, on August 10, 2022 just before our flight was to leave, the staff at Bergstrom declared and emergency and evacuated the airport causing all of the peopled scheduled to fly connecting flights to Montreal, Ca. to miss both the scheduled flight from Austin to Philadelphia and the connecting flight from Philadelphia to Montreal, LorI standing at the gate counter rescheduled both flights for all 18 people flying from Austin. I personally did not think it was possible but Lori successfully helped all 18 people begin their trip to Canada. Many thanks and Kudos to her for just that. In addition she provided additional help to most everyone in the RFSA group making the trip.
