One of my favorite experiences growing up was marching down Main Street as part of my high school marching band. For many of my band family, that trip was the first time they traveled beyond our local community, and for some, it was their only opportunity to be able to travel to Walt Disney World.

Fast forward to my adult years, and I now have an extensive background in youth group travel, having worked in the youth departments at both Walt Disney World  and Universal Orlando. I have personal agent experience as well with the youth programs at the Orlando theme parks and have access to additional destinations that can provide educational and experiential opportunities for the traveling youth groups.

Youth travel have special requirements and considerations that require experience in order to have a successful trip for everyone. Just like when my band went, for some youth, this is their first time traveling and possibly their only opportunity to visit a major theme park growing up.

Many youth groups - like bands, choirs, dance teams, church youth groups and sports teams - contact me to help plan their group's trip because:

- there are many destinations to choose from, and they don't know if there is enough to "do" for their group

- they don't know how to fulfill the requirements to give an educational purpose to the trip (which is often required when a school group travels)

- they don't know the requirements of the destination in order to perform at the destination

- they don't know if there are special programs specifically designed for youth groups that includes special pricing

- they want to make sure that the children are safe

- they want to make sure the trip is as affordable as possible

- they want a knowledgeable person who can answer their questions as group leader quickly and also any questions from parent with accurate information

I don't believe that trips by different groups to the same destination all have to have the same inclusions.
