We have enjoyed working with Michael on several of our trips; both domestic and international. He is helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. As we all know, travel today can be overwhelming and stressful. Besides helping create memorable trips, Michael has been invaluable dealing with any last minute disruptions.

Michael was very helpful as we planned our trip to Norway with a stop in Iceland on the way. He helped us find a tour with a reputable company that included all that we wanted to see in Norway. After that he arranged all the details of our trip -- airplane tickets, insurance, shuttles to and from airports and hotels, tickets for extra experiences and mentioned several details we had not even thought of yet. We knew that if anything came up while we were away we could contact him and he would help us. This help made the trip pretty stress-free for two elders and we appreciated that so much!

I worked with Michael in the fall of 2020. I was the travel coordinator for a large film production in Winnipeg - responsible for flying in cast and crew from all over Canada, USA and Europe - often on short notice, and often with unusual special requests.

Michael was able to access departures and put together routings that I could not have done online. And make changes (many, many changes) quickly. I would have spent hours on-hold with the airlines if I didn't have his service.

Mike put together a great itinerary and really bailed us out when flight delays caused us to miss our long haul connector flight back home. Highly recommend!

I contacted Mike to help me book airfare for a trip to Oman, which is not necessarily an easy itinerary to put together during high season (December) from Winnipeg: one must anticipate a higher volume of seasonal travellers, potential weather delays, and other variables. Mike found a few options that factored all these variables assuring me that this was someone who knew what they were doing. Booking was expedient, professional, and personalized. Although I had hoped there wouldn't be any issues, on the return trip home, massive storms were raging in in both the Gulf region and Canada leading to a missed transatlantic flight home. Mike was an absolute champion and helped my partner and I reschedule our flights by email even though it was a weekend and the start of the holiday break - this was customer service that truly went above and beyond. It would have been a nightmare to sort out the rescheduling without Mike's assistance and needless to say, this is a clear reason for why booking with an agent remains superior to aggregator sites and artificial intelligence: when you're managing a frantic situation, you want to be able to speak to a human. I would certainly recommend Mike as a travel agent without any hesitation and plan to book through him again.

Our university program, Outtatown, worked with Mike to book flights around the world over the course of years. Mike and his team are reliable, diligent, and were more than willing to flexibly work with us. We were booking flights for 10-40 people and, time after time, Bonaventure came through for us with good prices on flights and insurance packages to destinations such as Quebec, Guatemala, South Africa, Burkina Faso, and France. They were attentive to how potential itineraries would suit our large groups. Mike served us with the utmost professionalism and care. When the Covid pandemic hit the world in March 2020, Mike and his team worked around the clock to resolve our logistical and travel needs. While Canadian Mennonite University has discontinued the Outtatown program in the face of the pandemic, we will remain ever grateful to Mike and team at Bonaventure for the high quality of service and support that they offered us over the years.

Michael is certainly very knowledgeable in his field. However, retrieving this knowledge from him is another thing. I find that I need to be sure to ask the right questions, in order to get the answers I am searching for. As opposed to him freely offering up his advise on the matter at hand. But that is the only "con" I have. He is very efficient, very quick to respond to any inquiries at any tome of the day or night. He is also knowledgeable on multiple travel matters. For example, arranging for our connected flights through different airlines to be processed on the same ticket to save us money and additional fees.

I just returned from my first trip to Thailand. This was a new country for me and the first time I would be travelling so far as a solo traveller. I have never used a travel agent before, but since Thailand was so unfamiliar, I contacted Michael for his advice and expertise. I am so glad that I did because he arranged a perfect trip for me. I advised him with what I wanted to do and he recommended where I should go to get the best use of my 2 weeks in that amazing country. He arranged my flights (making sure that I had the best option with the least amount of layover time) as well as my flights within Thailand. He sent me options for accommodations and recommended what he thought was the best option. He even arranged and confirmed hotel shuttles for me and sent me other important info that I needed to know. Michael planned a joint honeymoon for us, which consisted of going to Lisbon, Lagos, Faro, Barcelona, Nice, Manarola, Florence and Rome. Accomodations, car rental and flights booked through him were great and always at the best price. We also had to call him twice in Europe to book two of our trains, which he did so within less than an hour. He was able to change the car rental dates for us and provide us with a list of activities to do in each city.
