I received an email stating that I was invited to an information session with Hoover Travel & Tours. What this individual failed to let me know was that the position is commission-only and I would have to pay in order to be employed. This is a very predatory method of seeking out candidates and wastes the time of individuals who are actively searching for good jobs that provide good benefits. Not everyone has the money to pay to become an agent and it is better to operate in an upfront and honest manner, like I would hope you do with your clients, than to trick someone into thinking there is a valuable opportunity for employment.
