To me, the best benefits of Hawaiian travel are that nothing is all inclusive. In Hawaii, you’re encouraged to go out, see the culture, dine anywhere, visit everything and meet new people, both tourist and local. Best part - no passport needed and every beach is a public one for your snorkeling or surfing desires! I highly recommend starting your trip on Oahu to explore the history of the islands, and then travel to Maui or Kauai for your relaxing beach resorts. Or try my all-time favorite idea, take a Norwegian Cruise Line cruise and see all the islands in seven days!

Beyond the history of the islands and the peoples themselves, pay your respects to the losses of World War II on the island of Oahu. Visit the Pearl Harbor Memorial, tour the USS Missouri, or see the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific located within the Punchbowl Crater. Oahu is also home to Waikiki Beach, renowned for its hustle and bustle, luxury stores, and beautiful beach. Visit the Dole Pineapple Plantation in Honolulu or venture to the world-famous North Shore and its water activities including surfing and boogie-boarding. 

Bop on over to the Big Island and take a helicopter tour of Volcano National Park, or go by foot and hike the trails. Can’t get enough of volcanoes and craters?

Go to Maui and watch the sun rise or set from atop the Haleakala Crater, where the temperatures get so cold you need to bring a jacket! Hop on a boat for a whale-watching tour, or go snorkeling or scuba diving at Molokini Crater. If land adventure is more your speed, drive the road to Hana or visit the glamorous shops and restaurants in Lahaina.
