I embarked on my first cruise adventure in 2002 and it was love at first sight! It was the 20th anniversary celebration for my husband and me, and we still wonder why we waited so long to try out cruising. Since then, we've been on over 25 great adventures, and we continue to cruise 2 to 3 times a year. 

Why do we love cruising? It's the nature of being at sea. Sunsets and sunrises are the most beautiful on the horizon where sky meets sea. Take part in all the on-board activities or choose to do nothing at all. Feast on great food offerings over three meals a day, and enjoy shows and club entertainment in the evening. 

Experience beautiful destinations around the world with the ship as your hotel. Unpack just once and visit multiple ports. 

With so many ships and so many places to see, you'll need help choosing. Cruising is not one-size-fits-all travel. Itineraries and cruise ships should be matched to the travelers' needs and personalities. For example, a noisy mega ship with non-stop action might not be the best option for a couple looking for a serene cruising experience. Likewise, a young family with kids and teens might prefer this type of resort-style ship with a lot of activity to keep everyone busy. 

The world is full of great cruise destinations - Alaska, Europe, the Mediterranean, Greek Isles, New England/Canada, South and Central America, California Coast and Mexican Riviera, Hawaii - and the most popular, of course, the Caribbean Islands. The hardest part is deciding where.
