About Me

Epcot International Food & Wine Festival
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

It's a COVID19 world and people are nervous about traveling. However, now is actually a fantastic time for adults to be visiting Walt Disney World. Safe practices are in place and they are enforced. So I would be more concerned about going to the grocery store than I would be to travel to Walt Disney World right now. Lines for the attractions are short. Epcot has combined the popular Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival with the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival to create an adult paradise.

It isn't often that grown-ups get to touch their childhood again. We're all so too busy adulting.... and frankly, who wants THAT? Shouldn't we all take some time for ourselves to splash in the pool, let ice cream drip down your chin, and giggle till your tummy hurts? Sounds pretty good, doesn't it? Especially now!

I'm sure you would be surprised to hear that 51% of people traveling to Walt Disney World are not traveling with children.  Well believe it or not, it's actually true! So don't you think it's time to see what traveling to the Disney Parks feels like when you don't have to worry about diapers, temper tantrums, and searching for restaurants that will offer chicken fingers for every single meal?

Epcot is an adult paradise. Not only do they offer amazing food from all over the world all year long, they also offer even more delectable options during their various Festivals as well as celebrating the seasons.

  • The Epcot International Festival of the Arts starts off the year with visual, culinary, and artistic flair. Food becomes art in a feast for your senses. Mid-January - Late February
  • The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival features spring in full bloom with gorgeous topiaries and flower gardens. Foods made with fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs are showcased in the outdoor kitchens. Early March - Early June
  • The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is the longest of all the Festivals. Culinary demonstrations, mixology seminars, wine walks, craft beers, and Global Marketplace food booths as well as free concerts make it the ultimate adult indulgence! Late August - Early November
  • The Epcot International Festival of the Holidays celebrates how people from all over the world observe this magical time of year. Holiday Storytellers are on hand to spin tales of the holidays in multiple countries and religions. And since so much of the holidays revolves around traditional foods, the outdoor holiday kitchens feature the foods that are so much a part of how various countries celebrate. Late November - Late December

Have you ever wondered how things work behind the scenes at the Disney Parks? Or maybe learn about the history of the Parks through the eyes of Walt Disney himself? Both Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California offer tours that will help you to peek behind the curtain and immerse yourself in the magic even further. These tours are often age-restricted which proves to be a problem when you're traveling with young children.

  • Walk in Walt's Footsteps is a tour at Disneyland that will help you to understand Walt Disney's vision for his park. This is an essential part of a Disneyland vacation for those who want true history of the man and his dreams. The tour concludes with the honor of walking into Walt Disney's personal apartment above the Fire Station which often results in goosebumps and possibly a tear in your eye.
  • Keys to the Kingdom at the Magic Kingdom will take you backstage to see how the park operates on a day-today basis. You'll hear stories of how the park was built and even go down into the famous "Utilidors" that run underneath the park.

Adults enjoy long dining experiences with great conversation and cocktails. So how about the Highway in the Sky Dining Experience at Walt Disney World? This five-course progressive meal takes you to Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort to savor the food and beverages of each. The Walt Disney World Monorail will be your magic carpet to take you on this culinary journey and culminates in viewing the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom from atop Disney's Contemporary Resort.

If you're interested in steam trains, be sure to ask at the Main Street Station at Disneyland to see if there are any tender passes available. Two adults will get a chance to ride in the engine with the conductors! You can ask any of your questions about steam engine locomotives and they will happily answer them for you.

If you enjoy California wines but can't make it to Napa, visit the Alfresco Tasting Terrace inside Disney California Adventure Park. There you can try wines produced exclusively at wineries from the Disney Family , including Ron & Diane Disney Miller, Kurt Russell, Fess Parker, Fred MacMurray and more.

Of course, you can visit all the Disney Parks and enjoy all the attractions that you've grown to know and love. But now you don't have to worry about height requirements!

Attention to detail

Laurie has had attention to every detail of our traveling, things that I never would have thought of Laurie has covered!! She has helped us before, during and after our vacations. We have had experiences we have contacted her for while traveling such as illness that she was able to make phone calls on the home front taking the worry out of details for us. After working with her over the past few years, she knows what things we like to do and puts together travel plans for us that we would not think of!
Thanks Laurie for your professional and fun planning!

The Florida heat and humidity can be tough to deal with sometimes, can’t it? Don’t you wish there spots within the Walt Disney World theme parks where you can sit down in some air conditioning, have a fabulous cocktail, maybe a small bite to eat, and just relax for awhile? Consider this your wish come true! Because while there aren’t a lot of th...

Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival has been a major hit for foodies (and quasi-foodies!) everywhere! It starts in late September and runs through early November each year. I personally make a special "adults only" trip to Walt Disney World specifically for the Festival. Maybe not every year, but I try! And I can promise you that I dear...

The Wold Family
Thank you for all your hard work in planning and organizing our amazing Disney World trip. The trip was a brilliant success from start to finish, and all 11 of us had a delightful time. The Savannah view suites at the Jambo House were perfect. Needless to say, a jaw dropping experience for all of us. Transportation to and from the various parks was very efficient, particularly with regards to the scooter I rented, which was a lifesaver for me. I was very impressed with the accessibility to rides. With two strong young men in our group to help me, there were very few rides that I couldn’t take part in. Everything went off so smoothly and seamlessly thanks for your expert advice and planning. We are so thankful that we contacted you before my diagnosis to begin working your magic, and that we were able to enjoy an exceptional vacation together that will provide lifelong memories for all of us.
