I absolutely love New York City! During my more than 20 years as an agent with Bon Voyage Travel Leaders in Grand Forks, some of favorite trips to plan have been those to New York City.
The city that never sleeps is so full of life, excitement and things to do that visitors are guaranteed to have a good time! From girls weekends to couples getaways, New York City has something for everyone! For the avid foodie, New York City is a playground. Literally every type of food can be found in the city and often all within a few blocks. From Little Italy to Chinatown and from delicate French cuisine to a slice of pizza, if you want it, New York City has got it!

One of the best parts about visiting New York City is having access to endless amounts of history, theater and the arts. With so many fabulous plays to choose from on and off Broadway, your only disappointment is that you can’t see them all! The same can be said about the New York City museums.
The Met, the Guggenheim and the 9/11 museums are some of my favorites. So rich with history and culture, these museums are well worth spending the day at. I love planning girls weekends to New York City because I know the group with have an absolutely amazing time! Unique bars and restaurants, plenty of shopping opportunities and the potential of a movie star sighting excite any New York City tourist!

AMAZING. Highly recommend Carol. Carol helped out from start to finish! She was there to answer any questions we had. She booked everything for us, which took a lot of stress off me. She made all dinner reservations, motels, Flights, Disney Resort reservations, transportations, park tickets... everything! Everything Carol booked for us was amazing and we all enjoyed it. Chef Mickey's was a huge hit with our kids. On the Cruise, we had a wonderful room, great view and great service. The Cruise was by far our favorite though.

Food, amenities and hotel were good. Activities staff did a good job getting people involved. The only downside to this trip was the air conditioning. We could not get the room below 70 degrees. Felt very warm after a long day in the sun. Could not get anyone to look at it. Other friends had the same situation.

Carol hit it spot on with the hotel. But for our flight, we would not like to be over the wing, and always being the last ones on. We would also like to sit together.When we are the last ones on it seems like we have to check in our carry ons. It was great being able to see what we wanted to see. Loved the Taj Camptom, the staff very curtious, and the food was amazing. I would definatley reccomend this hotel to anyone. The only down Fall will Dan Fran is that it was cold there, we had to wear jackets, and we didnt go out in the evening time

Oh my goodness!!! Carol went so above and beyond. I would call or text her with questions as we were going out of country. She was so helpful. On our way home our flight to Grand Forks was cancelled and rescheduled for the next morning. So we were waiting in the airport until the next morning. She text me after 10:00pm to see about getting on a flight to Fargo that was leaving at 10:40pm. She was checking on car rentals for me from Fargo to Grand Forks. She just way out of her way to help us. I am so thankful for her. I will book all my trips thru Carol!! Thank you so much Carol!

Great Florida Trip

Carol knows our likes/dislikes. She selected the Rumfish, St. Pete Beach, Fl for us a couple of years ago. We really didn't want to travel out of the USA and selected the Rumfish again. It was perfect for what we wanted out of a vacation. We will book with her again for future travel. Several days we stayed at the resort and swam. There are some awesome restaurants in the area. The guys went fishing one day and we did a tiki boat ride.

The resort was very clean. It was a smaller resort which I loved. The swimming pools were bath temperature, so you could swim in them all day. First resort I have been to that you could swim in the pool because it wasn't ice cold. The staff was very pleasant. Especially Roger. Loved the little snack cafe that was open 24 hours.

Our travels were great due to Carol rebooking out flights home.
The stay at the Tradewinds was ok. The place needs a facelift, the rooms were small. The view was amazing! I would go back in a heartbeat, but definitely pick another place to stay.
Our family had an amazing time and the weather was wonderful.
Resort fees added up with the $55.00 per night per room and parking was a joke, another $25 dollars per car per night.

Disaster to Relaxation

14 days before my wife and I were supposed to leave for Jamaica, the island was hit by a Category 5 hurricane.
Carol worked continuously to assist us in contacting the resort and was eventually able, after days of 3-4 hour holds on the phone, to cancel our reservations. This trip had been booked for over 3 years, and she knew how much it meant for us. Carol went to work and found us a beautiful resort in Cancun within 24 hours of our cancellation, with no extra fees. 4 days later, I celebrated my 40th birthday on the beach, in the sun!
Carol has been an amazing friend when it comes to booking destinations for my family. I have nothing but great things to say about her and will mention her name any time someone is speaking of taking trips.

Fabulous Anniversary Vacation!

I did not know where to begin in planning a fun and unique opportunity for my husband and I to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. I was referred to Carol Tufte by a friend. She was so easy to work with and to brainstorm the many ideas that were floating around in my head!
Together we came up with an excellent plan to spend a week on St. Lucia Island in the Caribbean. It was our first time going to an all-inclusive resort like Sandals.
Carol worked out all of the details of the trip including our flights. Everything played out in a seamless and organized manner for which we were very thankful! The Sandals Halcyon Resort at St. Lucia surpassed our expectations! Carol had mentioned that it is a smaller and quieter resort which is exactly what we were looking for.
I highly recommend Carol for your travel needs. We plan to work with her again as we want to book another trip to a Sandals Resort in the Caribbean.

We planned our trip about year or more in advance. Carol managed pre and post excursions, flights and tour for the Viking River cruise. We were 4 retirees traveling together. We spent additional time in Paris before the river cruise. We were excited to see Norte Dame, Eiffel Tower, shopping and dinner on a Seine River cruise. We traveled the river through beautiful Germany, France and Switzerland. We saw beautiful cathedrals and castles plus many Riesling vineyards. We had a special walking and foodie tour in Strasbourg. We spent a day in the Alps traveling by bus and train. Loved the tram ride down. Walking downtown Old Zürich with the clock towers was easy to navigate using local transportation. We had a great trip with smooth travels.

Cancun Friends Trip

The resort was very clean and had a very nice layout. We really enjoyed the adults only villas with our own pool and bar. There wasn't a lot of entertainment on this resort that we took part it but the entertainment at the sister resort was a lot of fun and we went there three times for their entertainment options so we really liked the fact that we could be at our resort if we wanted quiet and relaxing atmosphere but if we wanted more lively entertainment we could go next door which was a very short walk. The beach area around the resort is very nice and water was beautiful. Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather during our stay but we were still able to make the best of it and have a good time.

We went to Bon Voyage looking for help to plan a trip to Switzerland. Carol was friendly, helpful, reassuring, and thorough. She also helped plan our flight and was in contact with us at appropriate times putting the final touches to our trip. When there was a delay on the return that caused us to miss a connecting flight home, she helped steer us through the voucher procedures for an extra night’s stay in Amsterdam, and rebooked our flights for us. Her help was very much appreciated!
The trip was as advertised and a trip I would recommend to friends. It felt a little more leisurely as we had several stops where we spent more than one day or night. Our local guide was extremely attentive and helpful to our group. We traveled by bus, and train and all was seamless! I would definitely go on a Collette tour again!

The DoubleTree Hilton Hyde Park was our choice and it was an excellent hotel in an excellent location. Carol also provided me information of a change for individuals travelling to England during the time our trip was planned. We had to go on a website she also provided to register our visit to England ahead of time, which I would not have known or done had it not been for Carol. At the almost last minute of our trip, I contacted Carol to see if it was possible to make a change to our return flight. We had a great trip. Wim, our coach driver, was very experienced
and is going to be missed by Image Tours since he is retiring. The small tunnels and hairpin turns he was able to get that coach thru was great. Fred, our tour director, was unbelievable. His knowledge and experience of the countries we visited was great. Not to mention, he spoke at least 5 languages. Our hotels were all first rate- very clean and comfortable. I really cannot think of anything to complain about the tour. We would recommend anyone thinking about a trip like this to check out Image Tours.

This trip was the most relaxing vacation I have ever taken! We had a beautiful suite with a swim out room to a pool. The restaurants was 2nd to none! The service was excellent! We loved our butlers and they even held lounge chairs on the beach with coolers and plenty of towels. I felt so pampered. We had a bar in our room with some favorite drinks and spirits. Had a super time at the Royalton Splash in Cancun. Arrangements for us were seamless. Splurged on the Diamond club level and it was worth it. We have never been to Mexico and the staff assigned to us were super helpful.

I knew I wanted to give my family a relaxing holiday vacation. A 19 year old in college and a 16 year old in high school - It is clear there are very few times that I could bank on planning time for all four of us together. Calling Carol Tufte was THE BEST DECISION as I was open to ideas and suggestions ... looking for something relaxing for the 4 of us over the winter break. She quickly came back to me with options and details on locations, accommodations, and recommendations that would be of interest to our adult-teen mix. Once we narrowed in on a location, she make great recommendations on excursions, car rentals and notable facts to ensure we were prepared. Every minute of our family time together exceeded our expectations. We had the right space at the right location to make the memories of a lifetime. We absolutely want to go back!

Family Christmas in Hawaii

Was the best Christmas ever. Thanks to Carol for getting all 17 of us to Oahu and Maui. She was a gem to work with, from helping us decide where to go and choosing the right hotels, to the flights. I'm sure it was quite challenging to get 17 of us from 4 different locations all to the same place at the same time. I wouldn't have attempted this by myself. Carol was so easy to work with! We sat down with her one afternoon and had our travel plans booked within 45 minutes. She worked with us on finding a new flight time when our original flight was dropped from the airline which we really appreciated. It was our first family trip to Disney World and there is A LOT to choose from when it comes to hotels, parks, transportation etc but Carol helped us make those decisions based on her past experiences which was super helpful. Our First River Cruise

Even though we’ve moved away from Grand Forks, we felt strongly that we had to call and work with Carol. Carol always goes above and beyond to give you the best information so that you can make a great decision for your trip. Carol was incredibly helpful navigating all of the options to help us pinpoint the best. Even mid trip, when we decided we wanted to fly home a day early, she was quick and responsive in helping us change our flights. I'm not sure how she did it, but we even got a week with sun and clear skies for amazing views with complete with whales breaching, and glaciers calving!

Thank you Carol, without you I dont think we could have done this! Two cancelled flights out of Fargo left us four days late to arrive in Cozumel MX. Carol was able to work with the Resort and the Airline to extend our stay those four days we would have lost! Secrets Aura in Cozumel is wonderful, great snorkeling, sand and blue clear waters. Felt very safe traveling the Island, going into town for excursions and renting a Jeep to go at our own pace. Again, Thank YOU Carol !!! Next time ALASKA!

The resort was super clean and the staff were all very friendly. It was a quiet resort which was perfect for our family. And we could walk five minutes to another Dreams to have a more loud resort with slides. It was perfect. The room faced the pools and flamingo lake which we loved. We were on first floor which was super nice to with a grass area for playing catch etc.
