We recently had an excellent experience with Nicole Gilbert from My Vacation Lady. We began working with her in 2020 as we were planning a Spring Break trip which was ultimately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nicole made sure we received all our refunds and was thoughtful about communicating updates to us as they were received.
Naturally, we reached out to her again as we prepared to travel to Puerto Rico for a wedding. Nicole sent us many options for excursions and we were able to select the best ones for our family. She was especially helpful at the end of our trip when we needed to leave a day early, due to a family emergency. What could have been a stressful process, was taken care of easily with her expertise.

The framework for our trip was an idea for a gift I wanted to give my husband for his 60th birthday. A life long WW2 buff, he had always wanted to visit the Churchill War Rooms in London and wanted to visit the historical sites of Normandy. Nicole took these ideas and expanded on them telling us we HAD to visit Mont St. Michelle.
In London we not only visited the Churchill War rooms but experienced High Tea at Kensington Palace and visited Westminster Abby. We also toured the Tower of London.
Leaving London, Nicole booked a private tour of Normandy in an original WW2 jeep. Our guide made the experience totally immersive. We felt what it must have been like to be an 18 year old GI making their way up the beaches of Normandy and through the French countryside. It was an experience of a lifetime.
Also as huge Disney fans, we figured while we were in France we should visit Disneyland Paris (we’ve been to Paris 2X before and had seen all of the cultural sites that we wanted to see so we wanted to have some mindless fun…please don’t judge ??!). Given the number of places we wanted to visit, we needed to move around A-LOT! Nicole had every single detail covered. Planes, trains and automobiles…every single step was covered! It truly was a trip of a lifetime and we plan on doing more in the future using Nicole Gilbert and Your Next Vacation with My Vacation Lady!

We finally made it to Italy!

My husband and I just returned from our first visit to Italy and Sicily. Nicole planned a ten day trip for us that exceeded our expectations. We visited Sorrento, where we stayed as our home base for the majority of our trip. Nicole planned excursions for us to the Amalfi Coast, The Isle of Capri, pizza making class as well as Pompei. We also visited Taormina, Sicily. We toured a winery and feasted on an authentic Sicilian lunch. We enjoyed another cooking class where we accompanied the chef to a local produce market to select the day’s ingredients, and again, dined on the delectable dishes we prepared.
The hotels Nicole selected for us were luxurious and comfortable and their staff members were extremely accommodating and welcoming. Our rooms in both hotels had breathtaking views and were very comfortable.
Nicole provided all transfers to and from the excursions and the airports in Italy and Sicily. These commutes were executed seamlessly. We never had a moment of anxiety. The transportation company’s drivers were polite and professional.
The highlight of our trip was a last minute trip to Montalbano, Sicily. We contacted Nicole from Taormino and asked if she could arrange this visit so that I may see Montalbano, the village of my ancestors. She worked diligently to make this trip happen. Nicole was able to book the driver/tour guide that we requested. Our driver, Alessandro, had even taken time to research my family’s surname within the village before he picked us up. We were so grateful to have been able to walk the village streets of my ancestors, three generations before me.
If you are considering a trip to Italy, let Nicole be your guide. Her expertise and professionalism are remarkable.

Honeymoon to Greece

She took care of everything flights, hotels, transfers, ferry tickets so we could just relax and enjoy the trip. We started in Athens and then traveled to Mykonos, Crete, and Santorini, and every part of the trip went smoothly. Memorable Honeymoon!

Working with Nicole Gilbert was a great experience. Two of my friends planned their honeymoons through her so she came highly recommended! We had an absolutely amazing time on our Honeymoon, and we can't thank Nicole enough for all that she did to make it smooth, easy, and memorable for us. We absolutely loved our time in Positano, Le Agavi hotel was our favorite place to stay by far! The concierge was so helpful in getting some dinner reservations and even a reservation at one of the beach clubs, which we really enjoyed! Sorrento might have been our favorite part of our entire Italy leg of the trip; the town, the people, and the food were incredible! We especially enjoyed our hotel rooftop bar. We also really loved the day boat trip to Capri, it was so much fun! We want to go back and stay in Capri next time! Finally, Rome was fantastic but HOT! We did a lot of sightseeing before we made our way back home, and indulged in lots of pasta and wine!!!

Nicole has been so amazing and so helpful in planning our honeymoon. We just had our honeymoon June 2023. We decided to go to Amalfi Coast in Italy and Santorini, Greece. I was nervous because I have never been to either locations so I was unsure of what to plan. From our first consultation I knew Nicole would be the best fit. Great trip to UK and Ireland!

We are 2 couples who didn't know where to begin planning our vacation. We contacted Nicole only about 6 months before the dates we wanted to travel. Even with the short fuse, she took us on and was always quick to respond. We had one major special request that was a tour of the Triumph Motorcycle Factory in Hinckley, UK. The factory is off the beaten path but Nicole arranged our vacation to incorporate this attraction perfectly.
Everything went smoothly with transfers, hotel check-ins and tours. The tour guides were knowledgeable and friendly. In hindsight I would have booked a few MORE tours as Nicole had suggested.
All in all a great trip!

Never used a travel agent before

Having never booked any kind of trip through a travel agent, I was a bit skeptical, but a friend had recommended Nicole to me and so I thought I'd take a chance. Well, she suggested a cruise to the Caribbean as I was going with my adult daughter. To say my expectations were surpassed would be an understatement. I had also never been on a cruise and it was all she said it would be and more. Nicole explained the ins and outs of a cruise, additionally giving us some tips we would have never thought of (bringing a change of clothes/bathing suit in a carryon, as your luggage does not always arrive at your cabin as quickly as you do). She booked some excursions on our stops based on our tastes and basically took care of any anxieties I was feeling. Nicole is a knowledgeable, personable and receptive person who listens to you and as such makes for a wonderful travel companion, even though she's not physically with you. I would recommend her, and have, to all my friends.

Flawless - and quite an impressive feat considering there were 50 relatives, traveling from 7 different states, ranging in age from 2-75 years old. Nicole coordinated everything from initial brainstorming ideas to activities both on and off the ship and even rescheduled flights when a storm cancelled flights from the Port of Miami to various home airports in the New York area.

Nicole planned a wonder vacation for my family to Italy. She recommended hotel/apartment, tours and transportation all turned out to be beautiful and perfect! We traveled by plane, trains, and car service to 4 areas of Italy- Venice, Rome, Sorrento and Capri. All took place without an issue. Nicole is a pleasure to work with and really took the time out to understand what we needed as we were traveling with kids! I highly recommend Nicole.

Nicole has planned several vacations for our family now with the most recent one to Mexico. She found us a new place with exactly what we were looking for in our price range. The place was amazing and I would highly recommend it. She also goes the extra mile to make sure that when you are leaving the country you are aware of things you might not think of. The nice thing about working with Nicole is that no trip is a bother. We have also worked with her for a weekend get-a-way. I have referred several friends to Nicole and they would all say the same she was great to work with and patient! I would highly recommended using Nicole for your next vacation! It's great to work with someone that truly loves what she is doing and wants you to love your time away!

Nicole has planned 3 trips for my family. Bermuda, Italy and Turks and Caicos and all have been wonderful. Hotels recommended were all beautiful. Italy was planned without an issues. From planes, trains, car service and tours were planned perfectly and tours recommendations were the best especially considering children. Nicole always asked the right questions to really know your needs and expectations. We highly recommend her!
