France Tour

Just wanted to let you know that my daughter and I had a great trip to France! Everything worked out beautifully without the stress of making all the arrangements myself as I have done before.??????? We took the option of going to the beaches of Normandy have been there before but I was anxious for my daughter to see them as my father was part of the first assault on day. We had a great tour guide, Jonathan Holburn was was very knowledgeable, helpful and funny.

Ireland Anniversary Trip

We started our journey in Dublin Ireland from there, we went to the Cliffs of Moher, which were absolutely stunning. We also visited Galway, stayed at the Ashford castle, and journeyed to Edinburgh, and the Scottish Highlands. In St. Andrews, where we visited the famous golf course and watched The Open tournament which was a highlight for me.
One of the best parts of the trip was how green everything was. It was so nice to see all the greenery and the beautiful landscapes. The people were also very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was an amazing trip and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is thinking about travelling to these two countries. This was our first guided tour with Trafalgar and it was the right choice for me and saved me a lot of hassle. We would definitely choose the guided option again. Angela helped us with all of the details and even though this had been postponed with covid she still helped us make it happen! Happy wife = Happy life

We made it! Thanks for making this happen!!!???? It was amazing!!!!!!!! 8 massages in 8 days. So incredible!!! And the best part- food tasted normal! A hamburger tasted like a hamburger. They had nachos and popcorn and bbq stuff and it all tasted normal and it wasn’t so fru fru that never fills you! You know me so well!!!??. Thanks for making this all happen!!!!

Gorgeous sunsets

Just took my first big trip since the pandemic started. Called Angela Hughes at Trips & Ships Luxury Travel to book it. Had the best time a the Hotel Riu Vallarta in Nuevo Vallarta (about 40 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta). Never even left the resort. Loved this beachfront property with everything right there. Wonderful Junior Suite with wrap around balcony overlooking the mountains on one side and oceanfront on the other. Gorgeous views everywhere we looked. Hotel was spotless; staff cleaned day and night, even our balcony. Absolutely bug free as well. I've never been so impressed with a hotel's maintenance and staff. Multiple dining options including their fabulous international dining room. Fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, and anything you could possible dream of and wish for! Good entertainment. Family oriented. Easy access beach. Gorgeous sunsets. Perfect 82 degree weather with a slight breeze. Perfect!!

50th Birthday Bash!

Angela worked her magic creating a trip to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. We took all our kids and it was their first time. They were teens to adults and all wanted to see something different. She fit it all in and knew some special small towns we would also love that are not typical tourist stops. She knew when we needed a private driver (like first off the flight when you're tired) and when we would enjoy public transportation. It was two weeks we will never forget. New York and Broadway

There's no place like New York City. And that's especially true if you're visiting for the first time. The city can be overwhelming, but Angela Hughes can help you make the most of your trip. We saw SIX Broadway, tour all of the sites. Time Square is always packed. Central Park is beautiful, but it's also huge - you could get lost for hours. Fall was on point this year with leaves changing colors in the park. And on 5th Avenue, the stores are so big they could fit a small town inside. Angela Hughes can create an itinerary that includes all the must-see sights and leaves time for exploring on your own. She can help you make the most of your time in New York City.

River Cruise in Europe on the Danube

Postcard vacation

We had a trip planned since 2019. With Covid it pushed it to July of 2022. The with the Russia/Ukrain war, we had to change trips altogether. Angela and one of her associates, Britt, worked hard and fast to get us booked on a different trip. Several hours spent on the phone on hold due to several people having to change itineraries. Angela Hughes is the best agent! She had arranged an amazing vacation for us. We were going to go to New Zealand and the Cook Islands. We were so excited. Then the whole Covid 19 thing happened. Angela kept in contact with us often through the waiting period. She told us not to cancel our trip and to just wait a week. The airlines finally cancelled the trip and we got our money back. The best thing that Angela did was to go to bat for us and got our deposit back! She saved us from losing lots of money. I can't thank her enough!

Great first-time cruise

Angela was able to provide us with a couple of suggested cruises, as we had never cruised previously. We selected one that provided us with some extras such as a drink package and online ship credit. We did arrange our own hotel accommodations that we availed ourselves of prior to our cruise, as well as our own excursions. However we would use Angela again, as her suggestions for the cruise ships and cruise options were helpful and she handled all of the booking of the cruise, which didn't cost us any additional.

Ashford Castle was the highlight of the trip

We recently took a 10 day Ireland tour with Trips and Ships and had an amazing time! It was our first bus tour type trip and we were a little nervous going in but we couldn't have had a better time. We met some great folks and our Tour Director, Liam, was top notch. He was so knowledgeable about the country and shared that with us over the course of the trip. Our stay in Ashford Castle was the highlight of the trip but really the entire itinerary was great. We saw and learned so much. Galapagos Diving Trip

Traveling to the Galapagos was an incomparable experience. Our hope in going was to spend time diving and snorkeling in order to see the mesmerizing turtles up close; we accomplished this and so much more. We took a cruise that allowed us to visit multiple islands, each with their own distinct topography and wildlife. Baltra Island, Bartolomé Island, Isabela, and San Cristobal were all incredibly beautiful in different ways. The trip would not have been possible without the help of Angela Hughes Travel; they worked with us to create an itinerary that made the most of our time in this special place. We are grateful for having had the opportunity to explore the natural wonders of the Galapagos and hope to return again someday soon.

Switzerland in the Winter

For Christmas my mom gave us a trip to Switzerland and I had never travelled to Europe during the winter but it was so exciting to visit Zurich, Lucerne, Jungfroch and even though it was cold the scenery was stunning. Angela knows all of the great places to visit and she set up all of the tours for me and my sister. My favorite was Bern and Lucerne. I will definitely return to Switzerland! Tanzania Safari

Tanzania was my first trip to Africa, and it certainly won't be my last. The highlights of my safari included seeing the big five – lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and rhinos – as well as the great migration. However, what really made the trip special was spending time with my family in a private jeep with a guide and staying a luxury tented camp. At first, I wasn't excited about the idea of Africa, but it ended up being my favorite vacation with my family. The food was outstanding, and the service from Trips & Ships Luxury Travel was impeccable. Our travel expert, Angela Hughes, was extremely knowledgeable about Africa and safaris, and she helped us make the most of our time in Tanzania. I will cherish the memories of our trip for a lifetime. She recommended on the end that we stay in Zanzibar on the beach and that was a perfect ending to a fabulous trip.

First Trip to Cancun

Angela continues to be our go-to for all things travel. We wanted a quick trip with two teenage boys somewhere that would feel adventurous to them (read not inside a museum) She sent us to Cancun and it was perfect! She helped us pick which ruins to see and which Adventure park to visit. We wanted to be out and about and eating street food so she suggested the Marriott Casa Magna instead of an all-inclusive resort. It was perfect. So beautiful and on the beach. Guatemala Christmas Holiday

We are sitting in the airport in Dallas, on our way home. We had a wonderful time on our trip. Everything went smoothly and all the guides and activities were amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better trip. Thank you for all your hard work. I know this was a tricky trip to plan but everything went off without a hitch. We loved it all.
Honduras went really well. Our driver was the same the whole trip and he was very familiar with Honduras; their roads and the towns and boarder procedures.
We didn’t do the hot springs because they didn’t open until 2pm and they are 20 kilometers down a bad dirt road. Our driver had been there before several times. We just couldn’t fit it into our schedule. The ruins were wonderful in Copan.

Thank you so much, it was such an amazing trip, we are now back in Rome at hotel near airport, we are excited to see our pets 😂 and go home, but we have loved our trip so much, thank you for all of your help along the way, you were awesome, and our driver Marco, whom we had the entire time was fantastic, beyond fantastic . So many moving pieces😂 but it really went very smooth overall, we dipped out of a couple things just because it was a lot of touring for the boys (really only the cheese factory tour), and Castello Banfi was just amazing, so beautiful, perfect service, only drawback is, if you don’t rent a car, you’re sort of stuck there to there two restaurants, one is OK, and the other one is Michelin star so you know that experience just very fancy, last night, we had a driver, take us into Saint Angelo of Colle and ate at Il poggio which was awesome . And yes will plan to contact you if we plan a big trip again, loved all your help and will tell friends too !

We kicked things off with MJ the Musical, and wow what a performance. The energy, dancing, and vocals were electric. While Michael Jackson’s life remains controversial, the show focused heavily on his artistry and music, and from that perspective, it delivered a powerful, high-energy experience. The cast was phenomenal.
Next up: Oliver! at the Gielgud Theatre. What a nostalgic treat. The production was rich, full of charm, and emotionally stirring. The updated staging felt fresh while staying true to the heart of the classic. The ensemble cast—especially young Oliver was outstanding.

The two of you pretty much nailed it. Just a great trip all around. It's going to take a little time to process all the great memories and pictures - so many wonderful highlights. At this risk of embarrassing her - we are just so impressed by Angie's Italy connectivity. Given the sheer number of pickups and drop offs, meet-ups and details, it's kind of amazing that everyone was on time and ready to go EVERY TIME. Just great.
Just two items of note for future planning 1) The Villa was just great, but the wifi was not as advertised. I have a bunch of people who need to stay connected with jobs and businesses. The wifi was not working most of the time. I received many, many comments. 2) Dany's meals were wonderful - but the portions were too small for my multiple nephews with hearty appetites.
Still - Just a super great trip.

Mexico Our Favorite Resort has Gone Down Hill

Thought to would give you a quick review of our Cozumel trip.
The place that I picked has really changed since we were there 4 years ago.
We didn’t have any hot water for 4 days, and finally got warm water the last couple of days.
The room was the most expensive one they had on the beach.
Half the restaurants were closed at night, so we would half to wait an hour or 2 to eat.
The only other restaurant by the beach that you could just walk in, had the worst food ever.
They use to have the Best Food of any place we’d been.
Just thought I’d let you know, so you won’t recommend them.
We will call you for our next trip.
I think it will to Europe.

Multi Gen Moon Palace New Years Trip

It was great! Moon Palace was perfect for our budget and the family trip. Food was good, entertainment excellent and pool and beach areas were nice. Only drawback—very crowded in restaurants and pool area, they won’t let you reserve the cabanas—bummer! but that was due to holiday travel I assume. Christmas Markets Prague, Germany & Austria

Wonderful. Recommend Tauck over and over again. Room was great. Service great. Food and drinks were delicious and plentiful. It felt like we were a family by the end of the cruise.
Ship and local guides were wonderful. So friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. When I was nervous about disembarking in Basel and connecting to Colmar the Tauck rep and one of the ship guides gave me tutorial and also shared must do’s-which we did! (Visiting Colmar and the Alsace wine region was actually one of the impetuses for the adventure in the first place. It was magical-like walking into Beauty and the Beast set. I want to go back specifically to tour the Alsace wine region.) The markets bring unbelievable charm for sure-some of the booth architecture astounded more than the booth wares. It would be nice to go back and see the cities without the markets yet there are so many other places to explore.

Our guide was good and the local guides were great. The last hotel we stayed at in Lucern was a decent hotel but way too noisy at night. They had a dance club or events going on both nights and you could hear it everywhere. It was extremely noisy until the wee hours of the morning while we were trying to sleep. I wouldn’t recommend that hotel or stay there again.

The tour took us to most markets during the day and I wish we could have seen them lit up at night because the streets all had hanging lights that looked like they’d be beautiful when lit up. Family Holiday Trip to Morocco

We finished our tour of Morocco in Casablanca, the country’s financial/industrial capital, and by far its largest city. We saw some beautiful examples of century old art deco architecture installed when the French took over the country. And of course we had to lunch at Rick’s Café.
The country is still relatively poor, but far better off than many of its neighbors. It is fully electrified and there was never a spot I didn’t have cell service, even in remote areas in the desert.

Prague & Christmas markets

Everything went well and we had a really nice time. Our tour group was large; 48 people but it was okay and worked out better than I expected with a group that large. We liked the BoHo hotel in Prague. It was quiet and nice and we enjoyed staying there. All the transports worked out perfectly. If it could have been 10 degrees warmer, that would have helped. It was cold but we expected it to be cold and we were prepared. Prague is amazing anytime and it was especially lovely at Christmas. We had tickets to concerts every day when we were in Prague and they were spectacular. There’s just a really high caliber of musicians and performers in Prague. The concerts were a definite highlight. You can’t beat the spires and domes and architecture of Prague. The food is really good there too. I love choosing your business and I’m grateful that you will take care of me even though I’m not able to travel as much as I wish I could.

Bangkok and Phuket

We started our trip in Phuket where we stayed for a few days before making our way to Bangkok. As a travel professional, Angela was familiar with the ins and outs of travel in Thailand and was able to show me some great shopping spots that I would have otherwise missed. We also spent a day biking around Phuket and exploring some of the smaller islands nearby. One of my favorite days was when we took a boat tour to Ko Phi Phi and visited the famous James Bond Island. The highlight of the trip for me was definitely the Thai massage I had in Bangkok - it was so relaxing and just what I needed after all that exploring! Overall, I had an amazing time in Thailand and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and exotic travel destination.

Travelled with Angela to China, Thailand and Cambodia and honestly it was one of the best trips of our lives. I had been to China on a guided tour in the past but never Thailand and Cambodia and there were so many behind the scene secrets that she set up for us in Phuket, and Chiang Mai. Update: in July of 2022, we again used Trips and Ships for a vacation to Ireland. We booked a Trafalgar Tour through her agency. I can’t say enough about our Jordan guide and driver and our Turkey guide. They were incredible. Our Egyptian guides were good too. It was a wonderful experience all the way around.
I had no doubts at all about your ability to create an amazing experience for us. My biggest worries were all Covid related. Hopefully we can get past Covid sooner rather than later so we don’t have to jump through so many hoops to travel in the future.

Hyderabad, the guide Srinu was very good and I enjoyed touring the city with him. I did not get the drivers name but he was good too.

Holland America Thanksgiving Cruise

Holland America did a great job and I have no complaints.
It was a different kind of trip. We rented a wheel chair for Carols mother. We should have got wheel chairs for two more because they recently had surgery. We are all getting a little older and grumpier , so that didn’t help. Carols mom came down with COVID the last three days and she had to say in her cabin. Everyone said they had fun, but I know one thing, I will never take them again.

Seabourn and the French Riviera

This year we booked Seabourn for our Europe trip to the French Med. In the past, we have sailed on Celebrity and Royal Caribbean but this really took it to a higher level. Seabourn's small ships & the line's all-inclusive concept made it feel like we weren't "nickeled and dimed" liked the other lines, Seabourn's partnership with Angela made the experience even better and her expert planning and execution made the trip flawless. My favorite stop on the itinerary was Monaco. We stayed in Barcelona and Madrid a few days prior and she made sure we had VIP amenities at our hotels that we couldn't get booking direct.

Traveling to India for the second time with Angela and her travel agency was a great experience. We got to see the Taj Mahal, Pink Palace, and Jaipur. Amalfi Coast Splendor

I just returned from the most amazing trip to Italy and I have to say, it lived up to all of my expectations! Our travel agent, Angela Hughes, did an incredible job of designing a trip that incorporated all of our interests. We started in Florence, where we stayed in a luxury hotel and did a lot of shopping. Then we went to the Cinque Terre and Rome, which were both beautiful. We also went to Assisi and Orvieto, which were two places I had always wanted to visit. Capri was my favorite part of the trip - the food was incredible and the scenery was just like the photos . We ended our trip with a cruise to Croatia on Celebrity, which was the perfect way to relax after all of the sightseeing we had done. If you're considering a trip to Italy, I would highly recommend it - you won't be disappointed!

Month Long WWII Trip

I wanted to Thank You for helping Ken plan the most amazing trip to Europe. We experienced so many incredible places and people in our travels.
Ken was able to fulfill his dream of following his father's WWII footsteps. We had several Tender Mercy moments. One that comes to mind was in Barth, Germany. We couldn't find the place where the POW camp was. We stopped at a grocery store to ask for directions and no one could help us. As we were getting ready to leave, a woman pulled up, she SPOKE English and she knew where it was. We followed her to an out of the place area that we would have never found on our own. We learned that 1) she didn't live in Barth, she was out running errands and decided to stop at the grocery store. 2) she and her husband had been in Barth last year and went on a bike ride and found the monument telling about the POW camp.

Again... another great vacation compliments of Angela Hughes! We use her for virtually all of our travel plans. . whether it is just my husband and myself or the entire family; we go to Angela for recommendations, advice and reservations.
She makes our travel plans so easy! We would much rather have a "real" person make our arrangements rather than a website... when running into any trouble, it is refreshing to be able to speak to someone and not go through an automated system and to be on hold forever.
We wouldn't trust anyone else with our travel plans!

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of travelling to Scotland Trips & Ships Luxury Travel. Angela is a true travel expert and knows travel like no other. With years of experience, she is detail oriented and takes care of everything so you can relax and enjoy your vacation. We have done many vacations with Trips & Ships Luxury Travel and have always been incredibly satisfied.
This particular trip was amazing. We got to visit St. Andrews Golf Course and The Open, which was a dream come true for my wife who is a golfer. We also spent time in Edinburgh, exploring the stunning architecture and enjoying the lively pubs. But the highlight of our trip was definitely travelling to the Scottish Highlands. The scenery was incredible and we loved spending time in the small, cozy pubs, enjoying a pint or two of Scotland's finest beer. Overall, it was an amazing trip and we can't wait to go back.

I have booked several trips with Angela from Trips and Ships. A few of my favorites were our honeymoon to Grenada and a Mediterranean cruise which included Greek Islands, Italy and Turkey. Angela took care of everything and advised us when would be best day to leave for our honeymoon. She set us up at the Sandals Resort which was an over-the-top amazing experience. We would have never thought of going to this destination without her guidance and we still talk about how dreamy and perfect it was with all of the yummy food, culture, beautiful room, water sports and relaxing atmosphere.
The Mediterranean cruise was the best way to see so many destinations in just one week. The charming islands and diversity of Turkey amazed me. Angela advised us to stay a few days in Rome before we left on the cruise in order to experience this stunning city. I was so grateful for that! Trips and Ships is top on my call list when booking a vacation with ease and with guaranteed desired results.

We sailed on the NCL Breakaway and then did a couple of nights in New York where she helped us set up a schedule for the city and Broadway tickets. The location she picked was perfect.
