If you have never been to Croatia, I can tell you, as your travel agent specialist, that you are in for a treat. Even if you have visited the country previously, I can plan even a better trip this time. Croatia is filled with exciting and leisurely sights and cities with vistas and buildings you will never forget. For example, my first suggestion, as your travel agent advisor, is to book a stay in the city of Dubrovnik. Croatia's major city in the south, Dubrovnik, sitsdirectly along the Adriatic Sea. Large stone walls, built in the 16th century, surround the Old Town, giving it a unique character of its own. St. Blaise Church, Renaissance Sponza Palace, and the Gothic Rector's Palace, which is now a history museum, are some of the well-preserved structures in the area. The pedestrianized Stradun (or Placa) is bordered with stores and restaurants, and is paved with limestone.A Game of Thrones' setting, as well as a preferred travel destination of luminaries, such as Beyoncé and Bill Gates, the picturesque and historic walled city is a popular enclave. Take the Dubrovnik cable car to reach the top of Srd Hill. At the top of the peak, you can visit a restaurant and marvel at some great city views. Make sure you visit the peak on a sunny day, as you will be greatly rewarded visually.Another place of note is the island of Korcula. Also dubbed, “Little Dubrovnik,” the isle charms visitors with its red-tiled buildings and cobbled alleys and streets. Legend says that the island was established by a Trojan hero but was settled by the Greeks. Also said to be Marco Polo’s place of birth, Korcula is considered one of the greenest islands in the Adriatic. Incredible beaches and the island’s lovely architecture provide trip-goers with an amazing travel experience. You may also want to visit the capital of Zagreb during your Croatian holiday. Zagreb, the country's capital and largest city, offers both culture and entertainment. Located next to the River Sava and sitting in the shadow of the nearby mountain range, the city offers plenty to do in the form of museums, cathedrals, theaters, and monuments. Also, you do not want to miss "Spica," the city's well-known Saturday morning/afternoon tradition. At that time, everyone descends on a few of the streets in the downtown area for a leisurely coffee or to practice the art of relaxing and doing nothing. If you love trekking through the Great Outdoors, you won’t want to miss a visit to Plitvice Lakes National Park. There is nothing quite like the breathtaking cascading lakes of Southeast Europe's oldest national park.Calcium carbonate, which is present in the site’s limestone rocks, gives the water a blue-green hue. The mineral reacts with the plants and animals to produce an array of eye-catching blues. As the limestone continues to form, the waterfalls develop and expand too.The city of Opatija is also worth a visit. The hub of tourism since the mid-19th century, the city was formerly a place where luxury villas and seaside resorts welcomed Austrian nobility. I know you will find Croatia as enchanting as I have as a travel agent specialist for the country. Contact me today so we can plan your perfect holiday. Let’s get started now.
