We first opened our doors Dec, 1989 and have "weathered" many travel storms since then.  I think I was always a traveller - and have travelled to many destinations throughout the world.  I have favourite spots - of course, but every place that I visit, I thoroughly enjoy - the people - the scenery and of course, the food!!  I had never cruised before and when I started to do some research on riverboats, I was "hooked"! Cruising the Rhine became a dream of mine and it came true with my first Riverboat cruise on the Avalon Passion!  The ship was more than I expected as people think that the Riverboats are small - but there was room for everything! The scenery as you cruise along is absolutely amazing!  I came away from this cruise actually planning my next riverboat cruise - which I did again on another Avalon.
