Day Trip to Cinque Terre
Take a day trip to Cinque Terre. These five beautiful villages have a wonderful history, built into the side of the hill. The bright paint makes a delightful photo against the blue water. Be sure to bring your swimsuit for a dip at the beach. You'll want to take the train from village to village or take a boat ride.

With a water taxi from the train station you know you are starting this leg of the journey with a delight. Wander the pedestrian only streets of Venice, check out the alleyways and small bridges. There are many quaint restaurants and shops off the beaten path to be found.

Visit the catacombs!
Spend the morning checking out the Catacombs of Rome are ancient catacombs, underground burial places in and around Rome, of which there are at least forty, some rediscovered only in recent decades. Book a tour to learn the history. Then hop the train to Florence! Sit back and relax as you watch the Italian countryside go by. Scroll through your pictures or plot the next activities while on the 1 1/2 hour train ride.
