Europe - Escorted/Tours

As a travel agent I have had the opportunity to go to Sicily on a small escorted tour.  This tour was one of the best I have ever been on.  The amount of people on this was a max of 16 and we only had 12.  We started in Palermo and ended in Taormina.  What i liked is we stayed right in villages in houses amongst the natives.  Experienced the markets outside and the little food markets they have. Our tour guide use to live in Sicily as a child before he came over to the US.  So having him as a guide was fantastic because in knew everyone.  We went to restaurants that were family owned, learned how to pick olives from the tree and then took them down to the manufacturing plant and learned how to make olive oil.  Did a lot of walking tours of the villages and experienced there culture.

Have also done Italy by hiring our own car and had them take us out to the suburbs and to all the points of interest.  

Have also been to Ireland two times at different parts of that country.  Did small escorted and Group tours, also did some on our own.

Greek Islands are gorgeous!  So much to see and do.  A lot of my  tours were private and small tours.  Athens has so much to see.  Greece in all has so much history there.

As a travel agent I have booked 2 small groups to Italy which they did some private tours, train to get from one spot to another and time on there own.

Ireland was the same with a small escorted tour.  Which they loved because the tour operator was able to take them all over and spend more time because it was so small.
