I began my journey in the world of travel with a small agency in my hometown of Mobile, Alabama in 1978. In those days, we still used the phone quite a bit and wrote most tickets by hand... this was before the computer systems were as obligatory as they are today. As a result, I was gifted with the opportunity to really learn the nuts and bolts of air planning, touring, cruising (which was still a novelty) and FIT planning for customers.  I learned something then that has served me well and that is to create relationships for the long haul rather than the quick sale.

After some years in the agency side, I did more than a decade in the airline industry in several capacities including reservation control functions and reservation systems administration.  I was given the opportunity to live and work overseas and even spent six years working in flight for a major international carrier.  After 9/11 I was again ground based and, for the last 15 years, I've been working with AffordableTours.com and enjoying the relationships I've enjoyed with my customers. We've explored the world in many different ways and I've enjoyed every minute of helping people realize their travel dreams.

My personal travel favorites now are river cruise, four of which I've enjoyed on European rivers. I've been able to travel to Asia, the South Pacific, South America and, my favorite, Europe. When people ask about favorites, I always mention Florence, Italy and Bruges in Belgium. I've also fallen in love with Prague, Vienna and Budapest after several visits and London certainly remains a favorite.  

After 47 years, I still find the industry as compelling and exciting as when I began and I have many places to see and things to do.  But, for now. the most important question is for you: how can I help make your travel dreams come true?
