Adventure Advisor (Expedition/Small Ship Cruising)

   Adventure travelers, whether soft/light experience seekers or more active “get out the kayaks and zodiacs” type, appreciate the convenience of cruising blended with accessing areas that large ships can’t navigate.  All of the suppliers I regularly follow and have booked or experienced myself deliver a high level of hospitality (including dining) in addition to itineraries and experiences which honestly are difficult if not impossible to match by land excursion alone.

   Itineraries vary by destination and cruise operator.  Some, like river cruises generally offer more historical and cultural interactions, while expeditions obviously pursue natural world observation and landscape/seascape immersions.

   I’ve cruised Italy & Croatia coastlines; the Danube from Budapest, Hungary to Regensburg, Germany; and entire SE Alaska Inside Passage – all via small ship.  Each type of vessel was perfectly suited for the itinerary undertaken.  And as mentioned previously, each supplier excels in their own brand of hospitality characterized by eager-to-please crew, outstanding comfort and amenities, excellent dining and options catering to different activity levels and interests.
