Japan isn't just cherry blossoms!  Ok, they are gorgeous and that is a popular time to visit Japan and the city of Kyoto.  There is just so much more to see!  Japan boasts huge cities such as Tokyo but also remote countryside, small villages, beaches and so much culture and history. I have visited Japan twice most recently in in fall 2025.

Tokyo is perhaps the most popular starting point with it's frequent flights, massive size, transit connections and large variety of hotels. Tokyo boasts some of the world's most exclusive hotel brands and experiences while offering a wide variety of options for any traveler including apart-hotels and apartments.  From day to night you can enjoy the buzz of Tokyo.  Food is a big part of the experience here from fish markets to ramen to sushi and street food, we can create the perfect experience for you. Japan's cultural temples and variety of museums are also a can't miss part of your stay.  I did an Izakaya food tour here and it was excellent! I also saw a few of the shrines and the Imperial palace.  The Meiji shrine in particular was very cool to me.  Shopping is excellent in Harajuku and Ginza. 

Next up is  Kyoto and nearby Nara and Osaka.  Kyoto offers so many beautiful temples and is where the most famous Geisha tea houses are found.  Nearby Nara is known for it's deer, which can be aggressive!  Osaka is also a major city nearby and has it's own museums, the castle and a bustling night life. You an also add a Ryokan stay in this region of Japan.

To dive deeper into Japan, you can visit the rural countryside and experience another side of Japan. Many clients enjoy time in Hokkaido, Nikko, Sapporo, and exploring the history of Hiroshima. For a beach experience, consider the Okinawa area, which is closer to Taiwan than Japan! I recently visited Miyako with it's gorgeous blue waters.
