Touring Italy was so much more than I had anticipated.  It is a region in Europe where there is always more to see, experience and taste.  My travels began in Rome and then ventured north to the Tuscany Region.  Cities such as Lucca, Piza, San Gimignano and Sienna are hidden gems that are wonderful to explore and experience.

When you are this close to the Mediterranean, it is a must to visit the Italian Riviera with cities such as Cinque Terre.  The breathtaking scenery and vibrant colors along the rocky shoreline of the western coast are best viewed from the water!

Florence is my favorite metropolitan region with it's famous art and history.  This location works great for day trips to all of the special cities listed above.  From Florence, it is an easy journey to Venice as well, and the right tour may have a stop in Verona to see "Juliet's balcony".

A night or two in Venice is an experience not to be taken for granted, as we watch the water levels rise, we do not know how much longer the ancient city will be accessible to tourists.  Then, as you slowly venture south back towards Rome, consider a stop in Ravenna to see the Basilica of San Vitale,  Built in 526 AD, this Christian Byzantine church gives you a glimpse of life in ancient Italy.  Lastly, don't miss Assisi, a very special city that reflects the teachings of St Francis and the still active Franciscan Order.

I work with each client to build the trip that best fits their travel styles.  Some of my clients love cruising, and we have many options for sailing the coast of Italy.  Other clients want to see as much as possible and do not want to worry about the language barriers or transportation.  For these clients, I have a special group of suppliers that provide fantastic land tours of Italy.  These tours remove all of the "unknowns" in travel and allow you to fully immerse yourself in the experience while someone else worries about the logistics.

Lastly, I do have clients that love to explore and experience Italy at their own pace.  For these clients, I build custom itineraries.  This will include flights from city to city, train service, tours, hotels, villas, apartments, and car rentals.  Know that each person has a unique travel style and that is where my 20 years of experience helps!  We will work to qualify your trip and discover which format will be the most enriching for you personally. 

I have worked with hybrid versions of the above options, as well.  For example, perhaps we will have you travel independently to the Tuscany Region for a week, and then join a cruise to experience the coastal cities if Italy.  Or, because you love the idea of a land tour, we will start with a tour that travels north from Rome to Florence to Venice.  Then, we will add time at the end of your journey to travel independently to Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Southern Italy for a time of beaches, bluffs and beautiful coastal scenery.
