I have had the pleasure of traveling to numerous European and North American cities during my tenure at AffordableTours.com. Among my absolute favorites are Paris, Cesky Krumlov, and Edinburgh. I must confess that Paris holds a special place in my heart. The city's captivating architecture, atmosphere, and 'enjoy life' vibe make it truly exceptional. The stunning Notre Dame Cathedral is a must-visit attraction, although climbing its 387 steps can be quite a challenge - my calves were sore for days afterward. I had the pleasure of staying in the charming Latin Quarter, and even thinking about Paris brings a smile to my face. Edinburgh, Scotland, with its breathtaking countryside, is another city that has left a lasting impression on me. Its bustling atmosphere, reminiscent of Houston, made it easy for me to navigate and enjoy. During my visit, I explored Edinburgh Castle, toured the Royal Mile, hiked up Arthur's Seat, and indulged in the Scottish Whiskey Experience, where I discovered the renowned Johnnie Walker brand. The city's picturesque landscapes are truly unforgettable. Cesky Krumlov, a hidden gem in the Czech Republic, is a city that defies description. Its enchanting historic old town boasts a unique blend of Gothic and Renaissance architectural styles, complete with a fairytale-like castle that towers over the village, surrounded by a Bear Moat. Interestingly, Cesky Krumlov is also famous for the semi-precious gemstone Moldavite, which was formed millions of years ago when a massive meteorite crashed in Bavaria.
