8-Day Perfect Day CocoCay

I arrived at the terminal at 11 am to make sure I had plenty of time before the ship left port at 3pm. Went through the usual check-in procedures with my two forms of ID.

On day 2 we were heading to Port Canaveral, Florida. I had so much to do on board the ship, but I made it a point to have fun on the water slides.

Our ship arrived at port at 6am and we were able to disembark at 11 after breakfast. We had until 6pm to have as much fun as possible. We were able to visit MGM studios and Islands of Adventure. There are so many rides that I had a lot of fun trying almost all of them. However, I couldn't get to all of them as it would take several days. The dragon that spits fire on the MGM side was really a blast. So much is available to see and do.

The Bayside Marketplace, across from the port, is a popular waterfront shopping spot for visitors. The locals love the quirky boutiques in Coconut Grove. However, I stayed onboard to use the WaveRider surf simulator. I know our new fiends that we made went to the marketplace. When others go into port in Miami, this is the perfect time to use the WaveRider.

We arrived at Nassau at 6am in the morning and disembarked at 11 to make our way to the dolphin swim and half day at the beach. This was the highlight of my day as I have never encountered a dolphin in the wild before or been up close to one either. I was surprised to see that they are so much larger than I thought when I was swimming next to one. But I did have a lot of fun being launched out of the water by one.

We arrived at CocoCay on the 6th day. We had tickets for the water park and because the ship had stabilizer's we slept late and didn't know that we were docked at port. We had our breakfast and disembarked. I wanted to visit the beach, so we made our way to Chill Beach. I loved relaxing on the available beach chairs. A bit later, I went for a swim. I could hear the lifeguards yelling at some of the tourists to not feed the fish. This draws in sharks so that is not something you want to do. Later, we made our way to the waterpark and had a lot of fun using the wave pool and water slides. When we were hungry, we made our way to the Skippers Grill. After lunch, we snuck off to Hideaway Beach. The swim up bar was really a great place to be.

We were traveling home from CocoCay. I really loved my trip to this place, and I would recommend it to everyone. It was a nice short getaway. I enjoyed the beaches the most and of course the dolphin encounter was fun. But most of all, the crew are very polite and cater to your every need. The last day on the ship there was a party thrown to celebrate our trip and being onboard the ship. The food was spectacular and made by 5-star chefs. I think I gained several pounds with the amount of food I ate because it was so delicious.

We arrived home at 6am in the morning and I really didn't want to leave since my trip was so much fun. But all good things must come to an end.... but we booked another cruise doing the same trip! We had a blast. We took a few more photos to remember it by and disembarked. We couldn't wait for our next cruise!
