PLACES VISITED:Walt Disney World
SUGGESTED DURATION:7 Days
While your Disney vacation would be customized to your family wants and must-do's, here is a fun overview itinerary to get you ready to visit the parks!
Close All Days
DAY1
Walt Disney World
Close Day
Welcome to the magic!
Fly into Orlando in the morning and transfer to your resort. Take your time in getting settled at the hotel and enjoy dinner onsite before an early sleep. Or, if you’re feeling up to it, head to the Magic Kingdom! Try to hit some opening day attractions and maybe catch the nightly fireworks (bring tissues).
HIGHLIGHTS:
Seeing Cinderella's Castle lit up at night
Quick family photo before starting your week
Grab a Mickey ice cream bar!
DAY2
Walt Disney World
Close Day
Epcot
Grab a quick to-go breakfast from your resort and head to Epcot Center for rope drop OR head to Epcot and go straight to Les Halles in the France pavilion for breakfast. Even though World Showcase typically opens later in the morning (around 11am) as compared to the rest of the park, Les Halles is typically open and serving. Return to your hotel in the middle of the day for a nap or swim, then head back out to Hollywood Studios in the late afternoon. Try to catch Fantasmic or ride the Tower of Terror at night!
HIGHLIGHTS:
Fantasmic is a must do for all Disney fans
Riding the Tower of Terror at night brings in a new level of screams
Walk through Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at night to see the Millennium Falcon
DAY3
Walt Disney World
Close Day
Magic Kingdom - Disney Springs
Grab a bite from your resort or head to the Magic Kingdom for breakfast (Gaston's Tavern is my favorite.). Enjoy the morning exploring the park, riding all the classic rides, then return to your hotel. Spend some time relaxing and exploring – take a nap, enjoy the pool, partake in some activities, if available. The resorts are not just for sleeping! After that if you’re completely relaxed and feeling like hanging in, grab dinner on site. If you’re up for it, head to Disney Springs for some shopping, dinner, and the best cookie ever from Gideon's.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Make sure you stop and visit Mickey Mouse
Grab a dole Whip float for a refreshing cool down on a hot day
Don't skip the classic rides
DAY4
Walt Disney World
Close Day
Hollywood Studios
A Hollywood Studios morning. Set your alarm to be one of the first to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at rope drop before you enjoy the rest of the park. After an afternoon break, check out the Magic Kingdom at night. Grab dinner there!
HIGHLIGHTS:
Make 60 day advanced reservations for Cinderella's Royal Table for dinner at Magic Kingdom
Have a family competition on Toy Story Mania for the highest score
Try the blue milk in Galaxy's Edge - it's delicious
DAY5
Walt Disney World
Close Day
Animal Kingdom
Sleep in today or use an advanced dining reservation for a character breakfast somewhere on Disney property. Spend the rest of the morning and early afternoon at leisure before heading to Animal Kingdom to check it out at night. Pandora – The World of Avatar is a must see when the lights go down! Grab dinner at Satuli Canteen (Big Mac stuffed in a bao bun?! Okay!) or just snack your way around the park. Snacks here are EXCELLENT and hidden gems!
HIGHLIGHTS:
Think about adding the Starlit Safari to your vacation
Walk the paths toward the Tree of Life - great for family photos
BBQ mac and cheese at Flametree BBQ is a must!
DAY6
Walt Disney World
Close Day
Magic Kingdom
Grab a quick breakfast from your resort or at the Magic Kingdom. A must visit on your last park day. Re-ride your favorites and explore the Emporium for those last-minute souvenirs. After a quick rest at your resort, head back out to Epcot to experience THAT park at night. Grab dinner on site or snack your way around World Showcase (highly recommend the snacking)! If the nighttime spectacular is playing, head to World Showcase Lagoon early to snag a viewing spot. Enjoy!
HIGHLIGHTS:
Any snack from Karmel Kuche in the Germany pavilion
Visit Anna and Elsa in the Norway pavilion
Take nighttime family photos by Spaceship Earth
DAY7
