About Me

Travel along the Pacific Coast
Travel along the Pacific Coast

All aboard for adventure! When you choose AMTRAK for your holiday trip, not only are you in for a relaxing ride, but you'll also have ample opportunities to see some of America's most breathtaking and must-visit destinations. Sd your AMTRAK rail travel agent advisor, I know you’ll love traveling this way. After all, who can ignore the exciting possibility of traveling by train. This type of historic adventure never goes out of style.  So, where should we begin? The following train holidays will give you some inspiration. 1. Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona One of America's most iconic natural wonders, the Grand Canyon is a must-see destination when traveling on AMTRAK. Hop on the Southwest Chief route from Chicago and Albuquerque and connect with the Grand Canyon Railway in Williams, Arizona. From Williams, you will  go directly to the South Rim of the park. You'll be treated to awe-inspiring views of layered rocks, winding canyons, and vast desert landscapes that have attracted visitors for generations. Plus, you can travel anytime of the year. You’ll love the adventure, whether you visit during the winter or summer months. The train to the Grand Canyon offers some unforgettable entertainment. 2. The Rocky Mountains, Colorado AMTRAK's California Zephyr route takes you on a picturesque journey through the heart of the rugged Rocky Mountains from Chicago to San Francisco. As you pass through Colorado, you'll be treated to jaw-dropping views of snow-capped mountains and deep gorges.  Be sure to plan a stop in Denver or Glenwood Springs to explore world-class hiking trails, alpine lakes, and charming mountain towns. Travelers often exclaim that the California Zephyr is one beautiful train trip. As you climb through the heart of the Rocky Mountains and go west through the snow-capped Sierra Nevada range, you’ll definitely agree.  The Zephyr operates between Chicago and San Francisco, following the plains of Nebraska before arriving in Denver. From there travelers are treated to views of the Rockies and Salt Lake City, ending the journey in Reno, Sacramento and San Francisco.  3. New Orleans' French Quarter, Louisiana Immerse yourself in the vibrant sights and sounds of New Orleans' French Quarter while riding AMTRAK's City of New Orleans route from Chicago to the "Big Easy."  This lively neighborhood is famous for its cast-iron balconies, colorful architecture, jazz clubs, and mouthwatering cuisine. You won't want to miss strolling down Bourbon Street or enjoying a sweet beignet as you experience this city's unique culture and offerings. 4. Pacific Northwest CoastTravel along some of America's most stunning coastline on AMTRAK's Coast Starlight route, which stretches from Los Angeles to Seattle. As you pass by untouched beaches, charming towns, and dramatic cliffs, you'll find yourself in awe of the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.  Plan stops in major cities like San Francisco and Portland or explore smaller coastal gems like Santa Barbara and Astoria, Oregon. 5. Glacier National Park, Montana For awe-inspiring views and pristine wilderness, look no further than Glacier National Park, which sits at the top of the American Rockies. AMTRAK's Empire Builder route takes you through this vast park, providing many opportunities to spot wildlife, hike rugged trails or simply sit back and take in the breathtaking surroundings.  For a closer look at these miles of unspoiled wilderness, consider stopping off at Whitefish or West Glacier stations. If you wish to book an AMTRAK excursion, I can help you, as well, with the accommodations. What you’ll receive will depend on your choice of a train and where you’re planning to go. Therefore, you’ll need me to take care of all the trip-planning details. For instance, the sleeping car fleet for AMTRAK features two types of cars - either Superliner or Viewliner. The difference is that the Superliner cars feature two levels of accommodations while the Viewliners highlight a single level.  Featured amenities include reclining seats, all dining car meals, a personal room attendant, who takes care of turn down, bedding, and coffee, reading lights, a climate control environment, and garment rack. You’ll also receive bottles of water and fresh towels and linens. You’ll also love the chef-made entrees. For instance, on Zephyr trains, you can enjoy seared flat iron steak with mashed potatoes and baby green beans or a pan roasted chicken breast with mixed vegetables and lemon risotto. You can also savor the oven-roasted Atlantic salmon with carrots, peas, and bell peppers. You’ll also have to try the chocolate toffee mousse for dessert. Whether you're a seasoned train traveler or embarking on your first AMTRAK holiday adventure, I can help you as your travel agent professional. There are countless must-see destinations at your fingertips. From vast national parks to vibrant urban centers, AMTRAK is your key to a memorable holiday.

Spectacular Family Cruise
Reviewed By JT - California | Traveled to Caribbean Sea ~ At Sea ~ At Sea
Marian made our travel arrangements to take our children on a Caribbean cruise. She picked the correct ship for our 3 children and us. When we needed a little adult time, there were clubs for the children to attend. We are adventuresome, and that was the vibe of our ship. Bravo, Marian, for assessing our needs and matching us up so well.

Held my hand throughout.

Marian did the impossible - she got a flight that met up with my Australian girlfriend in Frankfurt so we could arrive together. She also kept me calm when not one, but two flights were missed and guided me through the steps to get back on track. Her fee is ridiculously low for the service she supplies. I will use her once again as I have in the past.

Our Bespoke Italian Adventure
it was a wonderful trip -- Pompeii, Herculaneum, Agrigento, and enough museums to satisfy even us. All the drivers were terrific. Teo, who drove us from Siracusa to Palermo and was more than up to the task. He tried two or possibly three ways to get us to Piazza Armerina, but it wasn't possible because the roads were washed out, so we went on to Agrigento, where he set us up for the easiest way to see as much as possible. It was spectacular. He explained to us that merely to drive to the two stops on the way to Palermo would take more than the allotted 8 hours. The various map programs say it can be done with the stops, but real world conditions make it impossible. Admittedly we had really bad weather and horrific traffic, but who gets ideal conditions? The Valley of the Temples is spectacular, but it might better be a separate trip or an overnight, especially for older people. Again, thank you for all your help. Stay healthy! All the best, E and J

Trains, Boats, and Planes Adventure Abounds
Thank you, Marian, for our diverse, detailed adventure. Having us meet fellow cruisers prior to the cruise was brilliant. We are particularly grateful for the door to door care. Our fears of not getting to the right place were eased when we saw our greeter and our names on his sign. The Glacier Express and our stay in Zermet far exceeded our expectations. We loved arriving in San Moritz and staying in our castle-like hotel. The Bernina Express was more great scenery and so uplifting. Enjoyed exploring the Milan train station completing our loop. Flying to Edinburgh, exploring the castles, streets, and lunching on the royal yacht made our short stay fly by. The train to London was a peaceful, pleasant end to our side adventure and way to ease into our week's stay in London. At King's Cross station our greeter whisked off to our lodgings via a real London taxi. Loved the theaters, royal mews, and Keys ceremony. So much to see; so little time.
