I have been enjoying my second career as a travel agent for almost 12 years.  My passion for  travel was ignited while learning about my grandfather’s travels as a child.  My extensive training, webinars, and research which I conduct while personalizing itineraries continuously nurture that passion.

What do I have to offer?  The bombings in Paris surprisingly revealed the value of partnership to me.  Although I am very proud of my travel experiences and  certifications, the relationships I have developed and those I have inherited through the travel group are extremely valuable.

I struggled with the remnants of my high school French and creole for 6 months while designing a 2 week pilgrimage to France, The whole thing became redundant after the bombing..  I quickly informed the priest  that I will organize something. I reached out to someone I know in New York.  I explained the situation to him.  To make a long story short, we were able to put together a 2 week pilgrimage to Poland and the Czech Republic.  Words cannot explain how it felt to be surprised with a very special thank you gift, a copy of the Black Madonna painting.

I assist my clients to discover the world of their dreams by creating personalized itineraries which enable them to relax, create memories and return home rejuvenated. This means more than words to me.  One of the most memorable vacations I personalized demonstrates this.An older couple told me they had been married for 30 years and never had a honeymoon.  First, they could not afford it.  Then came the kids which were followed by life’s difficulties.  The wife explained she was now in her third remission from cancer.  The husband added, “I do not want to take any chances.  Her doctor said she can travel.  I am willing to work overtime everyday if I have to.  I want my wife to have a dream vacation.”

Together we agreed on a Princess repositioning cruise from Los Angeles to Australia with stops in Hawaii, Tahiti and New Zealand.  I arranged breakfast to be served on their balcony while cruising Milford Sound.  As it happened, they were the only ones to enjoy that experience.  From the smiles on their faces when they returned, you can tell they felt very special.
