I have had the privilege of travelling with Bonnie and Broad Escapes on a number of adventures. Everything is always excellent. I normally do travel on my own and find Broad Escapes an excellent way to explore the world and meet amazing fellow women travellers along the way.

This was my first solo trip and I was a little apprehensive about travelling with ten ladies that I didn’t know. Bonnie and the group made me feel welcome and comfortable in their presence. All the details from excursions to accommodations and transportation were looked after efficiently. I had a great safari experience.

I used to travel free style sometimes when I was younger and it was very exciting. I now value the security of a company that secures hotels, food and places to visit. I feel safe and more relaxed on my vacation. I also enjoyed the company of other people and getting to know them.

When most people think of Africa, they think of the animals, however, I learned that much of the beauty of Africa lies in its people. I felt blessed to be able to be part of the “relationships” – be it through the African folklore shared by our guide, or while watching school children perform “rope tricks”, or through the story told by the beat of the drum in the Masai dance. These connections to our own lives, different, yet the same, were the parts of travelling that one doesn’t expect, but gratefully accepts. Bonnie, always looked out for her “cubs”, be it seeing that we left on schedule, making certain our lodgings were to our liking, or checking to see if we needed a little TLC. The camaraderie of our group allowed us to laugh, cry, and take away many “Remember when” moments. But most important, I will leave this trip with connections to a country that will stay with me forever. Thank you Bonnie for sharing a very special side of Africa, and providing a life-changing experience.

Always enjoy travelling with Broad Escapes. This is my 4th trip – everything is always looked after. I especially enjoy travelling with Bonnie. She is the best! I knew 10 out of the 14 women in the group so it was like getting together with old acquaintances – great to reconnect with my travel buddies!

I love the group size (16) and the fact that many of the women have been on previous tours. It’s a great chance to reconnect. We have the best tour leader ever. Bonnie always sees to the needs and comfort of her group.
