Iceland is a magical place!!! Eric took care of handling every navigation, booking, and planning which allowed us to just focus on being present and on enjoying our precious family vacation time. As a couple, we didn’t even fight during the trip which was impressive while on travel and with 2 little kids.

Eric Newman is a superb travel planner! He planned a trip for our multi- generational family of 8 trip with preschoolers and grandparents. It made for the easiest travel experience we have ever had. We appreciated how our schedule was thoughtfully constructed with the perfect balance of scheduled activities and optional activities and excursions, so we could be flexible depending on how we were feeling. We set out to plan a multigenerational trip to Iceland in summer 2024 but didn't want to do a pre-fab tour--we were interested in a custom itinerary that would fit our group of 5, including a child under 10 and two grandparents. We stumbled upon Iceland with Kids, reached out to Eric, and decided quickly that it was the best way to go: Eric's careful, detailed planning and great suggestions took all of the stress out of coordinating an intensive 12-day trip that included an internal flight, a day trip to the Westman Islands, a few days on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, plenty of excursions and activities, and a good portion of Ring Road. We had a budget in mind, and Eric was able to keep us within it, without giving up anything that we wanted to do. We appreciated his consistent communication, our live chats with him, and the all the resources he provided, especially the itinerary app that became our bible while we were there.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Eric and his business "Iceland with Kids". He planned for our family of four, a self-guided 10-day driving holiday in Iceland and curated the most magical experience for our entire family. His knowledge of not just Iceland but the intricacies of traveling with children was incredibly helpful and he was able to create a very personalized itinerary for us that took into account the specific needs of our children. He also gave us some recommendations for places only frequented by locals that created a more authentic Iceland experience. Eric is wonderful at communicating throughout the process and receives feedback well as we made selections both for accommodations and activities. His knowledge of the country is essential as he knows intimately the locations of the rental options and was able to guide us towards options that would make the most sense to get the most out of each place we were exploring. The app that he uses for the itinerary is also a delight to use once in Iceland. It has seamless ways of connecting to GoogleMaps/GPS and this makes navigation easy. He also included details about good parking and grocery stores that were very much appreciated. The app also includes his commentary on each potential stop and this made us feel that he was with us - leading us through his insider information about each site. Lastly, he includes many thoughtful details in his planning. He mailed to us a package with his book, maps, and even electrical converters! He then gave us access to his driving in Iceland modules that I can't speak more highly about if you have never driven in Iceland before. It made us feel safer on the road and ready to take on this adventure with our children in the back seat. Iceland is an incredible place to travel and with Eric's guidance you will truly get the most out of this adventure with your family.
