Bus ride and walking tour ending at the "Notre Dame" Cathedral. Plenty of time to explore the shops before returning to the bus.

Baroque Palace
Took a bus ride across the river from Ludwigshafen to Mannheim's Baroque palace. After the tour, we boarded the bus and went to the city center and got to see the historic water tower.

Rudesheim - Evening Wine Tasting
Went to a local winery and sampled three of their different Riesling wines. The next morning, we went to the Siegfried Mechanical museum tour and then went on the gondola ride over some of the vineyards to the top of the hill. There we walked to the monument and had some amazing sights.

Peal of the Main walking Tour and Pretzel Bakery visit & tasting
Started the day with the walking tour in Miltenberg, walked the historic city streets. Got a little time to explore some of the local shops before boarding the bus and being driven to Wertheim to tour the historic city center and go to a local pretzel bakery. We got to hear the history of the german pretzels and take one with us back to the ship.

Residenz Palace and Wine Festival Celebration
Started the day with a tour of the residenz palace in Wurzburg. Beautiful palace. Parts are still being reconstructed. We then went to Volkach and attended an exclusive wine festival celebration just for the passengers on our ship. Got to sample some of their local franconian wines, watch the local dancers perform, and enjoy freshly made grilled bratwurst from their local butcher.

Bamberg

Walking Tour
Got on the bus and we were taken into the city center. Walked through the historic streets of Bamberg. Saw their "Little Venice". Also got to sample some of their local specialty beer. Smoked beer. Plenty of time after the tour to wander around and do some shopping before heading back to the bus and return to the ship.

Disembarkation Day
Time to head home. Pre arranged transfers, bus was waiting for us. Guides waiting at the airport to walk you to the correct airline ticket counter and security.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Wonderful cruise. Great history in each location. Wonderful food and drinks. Highly recommend river cruising. It is very relaxing and excellent food on the ship. The knowledgeable tour guides in each location were absolutely wonderful.
