Kim Vague planned our bucket list trip to Alaska and was so easy to work with and was so helpful. She listened to what we wanted, made suggestions, and helped us tweak our vision to make the trip an amazing reality. It is our pleasure to work with Kim Vague! She has been positive and enthusiastic about making our trips successful. While we were in the rainforest, we broke into small groups. Our family put on wellies boots and plodded through the mud with flashlights through a pitch black forest, 30 minutes to the beach, where our family group waited until the naturalists identified a giant sea turtle that had crawled onshore and had found a place to nest. Our leader only had a small red light that we followed to the big hole she had dug. I had our son on one arm and a grandson on the other to keep me from tripping over the vines, debris and holes on the dark beach, since the moon was behind the clouds. Various groups of silent people waited their turns to watch her. We were fortunate that our group had the chance to see her laying eggs, while 3 naturalists examined her for tags and injuries. The government keeps track of all the tagged sea turtles and would not let us stop to watch as 2 other giant turtles came on shore, since it would spook them. We were the only Tauck group who saw turtles!! The other family groups, who all had younger children, walked 5 minutes and waited on an airfield by a different part of the beach and never did see any turtles. My highlight of the trip involved water, of course. When we went out to snorkel, I decided to ditch the fins and snorkel and blissfully swam around the boat with just the mask. That way, when I got tired, I could flip onto my back and rest. Two sea turtles swam through our little group of grandchildren and kids, flipping us with water. My happy place!

I’m so thankful for my amazing travel agent Kim Vague! She is always a phone call away to answer any questions I have regarding my upcoming Viking Cruise or to troubleshoot any hiccups we might be having during the planning process! I cannot wait for my cruise this summer and even more so I cannot wait to book my next adventure with Kim. This is the second trip she’s booked for me and each trip gets better!
