I’ve done my fair share of traveling overseas solo, so I consider myself adept at planning out an itinerary. Key word being “solo”. When the opportunity presented itself for me to tag along on a trip with a group of people, this was not an option. I was very skeptical of actually hiring someone to do the planning for me as I can easily open up a browser and google: “things to do in Ireland”. That’s all well and good if I’m by myself since I know my own preferences for accommodations and the like. However, I was traveling with a group. We asked Amber to plan our family trip to Japan over spring break. Amber’s attention to detail, logistical planning, and spectacular recommendations helped make our vacation memorable. From the beginning, every detail was perfectly planned from the transportation to accommodation and activities. Amber took all of the stress out of travel and we were just able to enjoy family-time and the beauty of Japan. After meeting with us and talking about our goals for the trip, Amber suggested some activities that would be enjoyable for everyone from grandma down to grandchild. She designed the perfect itinerary to fit our short timeframe and long wish list. We were lodged in central locations in Tokyo and Kyoto that allowed for us to easily move throughout the cities and visit UNESCO World Heritage sites, prime shopping areas and amazing restaurants. She also arranged for private tours, a full-day excursion to Mt Fuji, tickets to the Sumo tournament, traditional tea ceremony and a Geiko performance. Amber planned our trip with the care and thought as if it was her own vacation. She took our pie-in-the-sky vacation and made it a reality. Our safari trip to Kenya was absolutely unforgettable, and we couldn’t have done it without Amber. She took the time to understand we wanted adventure with comfort, and a true taste of Africa. She delivered on every detail. Every part of the journey was seamless, from the flights and transfers to the incredible lodges/tented camps and game drives. We were able to spot the Big Five, our guides were knowledgeable and passionate, and taught us about the wildlife and local culture. If you’re planning a safari, you’ll be in excellent hands. Amber helped us plan every detail of our trip from air travel to airport limo to ferry and train trips. Our 15 day adventure was not without challenges, but Amber was always available to step in and address any issues from afar. I really liked the interactive itinerary she provided. This trip was planned to a tee, from our home departure to our arrival in country (Poland) and our return trip to home. Every little detail was carefully planned to meet the intent of our visit. Amber did an outstanding job coordinating with our personal travel guides to plan a trip beyond our expectations. Overall, we stayed in two wonderful hotels, one in Gdansk and the other in Krakow. Both were located in the heart of those cities which made it easy to get around after our scheduled tours were finished. We throughly enjoyed visiting Gdansk and Krakow and would recommend visiting Poland to everyone- the food was amazing, the churches were spectacular and the people friendly! Amber meticulously planned our trip, and her attention to detail is to be commended! We simply told her what we wanted to do, and she met with us via teleconference so we could discuss our vision for the trip. From the beginning to the end she reached out with updates to ensure we were ready to travel. We visited Gdansk, Tychowa, Krakow, Rzeszow and Czestochowa. Our first guide, Margo was absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond to make our journey both memorable and enjoyable, and overwhelmingly proud of our dad’s service in WWII. The guide who traveled with us to our grandparents home villages, utilized her interpersonal skills to assist us with locating information about our grandmother and her family, in fact she continues to help us find relatives. Amber’s recommendations for points of interest when in Paris France were amazing. From the visit to the Louvre and Eiffel Tower, to shopping in Paris, to the travel to the Champagne region for champagne tour and everything in between, was superb! Amber booked a wonderful cruise to the Greek Islands for me. Overnight accommodation in Athens was “spot on” as the ancient ruins were in walking distance from the hotel. From her quick response to address my concerns to the various recommendations on planning my excursions, Amber did an awesome job.
