These Are the Droids I'm Looking For

Hello there!  My name is Rob Provost, owner of Your Own Daily Adventure – a veteran-owned travel company.  Additionally, I am a travel agent with Storybook Destinations and a Wayfinder Destinations travel consultant. 

Working with Storybook Destinations, I use my first-hand experiences to specialize in land, sea, and galactic adventures at Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney World.  If your future travel plans include a planetary visit to Batuu (east or west) or were fortunate to journey aboard the Galactic Starcruiser, “Halcyon” I very well may be the droid (aka travel professional) you are looking for.  As a graduate of the College of Disney Knowledge, I am also well versed with the unique opportunities offered through both Adventures by Disney and the Disney Aulani resort.

While sailing most of the Disney Cruise Line fleet I’ve especially enjoyed their Northern European Capitals and Panama Canal itineraries.  My cruise credentials include: river cruise specialist with AMA Waterways, travel advisor for Atlas Ocean Voyages, graduate of Azamara cruise line’s World Academy, and a Master of Adventure from Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. I have also hosted groups on Windstar Cruises' Star Breeze in French Polynesia and family trips on Star Clippers, Norwegian Cruise Line and Holland America Line.

I am a professionally trained private chef and a certified Sommelier.  Following my retirement from military service I owned and operated a destination fly-fishing company for eight years.  After graduation from culinary school, I owned and operated Fly Boys Private Chefs and Catering, specializing in wine and beer pairings with multi-course tasting menus for private dinner parties. Additionally, I hold FAA private pilot and Unmanned Aerial System (drone) licenses, the Advanced Open Water SCUBA diver certification, and am a High-Performance Driver Education instructor for the Alpine Mountain Region Porsche Club.  I’m an avid tennis player, jazz drummer, and struggling golfer who has been known to occasionally play pickle ball.

I'm a retired US Air Force intelligence officer and spouse to a real-world rocket scientist.  My wife is an astronautical engineer who served in the US Air Force for 28 years, and is the biggest Star Wars fan … ever - she’s attended all 10 Star Wars Celebration events in the United States.  Our military assignments have taken us across the United States and our travels have taken us around the world.  I recently visited my 50th state (North Dakota), and I’ve visited more than 55 countries across ALL seven continents. Our travel highlights include: a month-long African Safari; North Atlantic, Baltic, Mediterranean, and Croatian cruises with train trips throughout Europe, including Berlin, Moscow and Prague; a honeymoon and 10th wedding anniversary in Australia and New Zealand; a cruise and numerous fly-fishing and whale watching trips to Alaska; the Egyptian pyramids; and fly-fishing trips to both the Amazon and the Seychelles.  We are Maui snowbirds, living the other half of the year in beautiful Colorado.  We previously lived on Oahu for three years and have been visiting the Hawaiian Islands for over 20 years.
