Although I have ventured from island living and am now in Arizona, Alaska will always hold my heart!  When I moved to Alaska, it was only supposed to be for two years. However, after living there for over 30 years, I can honestly say there are simply no words that can truly express the wonder of this amazing state. With my husband being a commercial bush pilot and both of us loving to explore, fish, hunt, hike, ski, and more, I've experienced countless, amazing, fun, breathtaking, and even terrifying events that could keep you entertained with stories for weeks. 

One of the hardest things to truly grasp about Alaska is its sheer size. The state is divided into five regions: the Arctic, Inside Passage (Southeast Panhandle), Interior, Southcentral, and Southwest. Each region offers something unique, making the decision of where to go and what to experience the most challenging part. 

No matter the season: winter, spring, summer, or fall Alaska has endless ways to explore the great outdoors. You can participate in thrilling activities or more relaxed ventures, view wildlife, experience Alaska Native culture, shop, visit museums and art galleries, enjoy local cuisine, or simply immerse yourself in breathtaking wide-open spaces, glaciers, and let’s not forget the Aurora Borealis or better known as the Northern Lights!
