My experience working with Akua was amazing. I was trying to surprise my wife. Gave brief description of likes and wants. It was complete in less than a hours time. She sent some recommendations and with a brief description of some of the places I narrowed it down to an amazing place all inclusive. It was the best trip me and my wife have had since our honeymoon. Going forward I will always use her on these trips I didn't have to worry about a thing and most importantly she made me seem like an expert. All men know how your wife asks all the questions that we can't answer. We'll think again I could and did thanks to Akua.

Our African Adventure

Working with Akua Washington was wonderful. She is organized, efficient and detail oriented. From the initial consultation, planning, finalizing our details, departure to Accra, and our return. Akua was with our group every step of the way. She listened to our wish list and from there created the perfect trip with the perfect mix of beach vibes (his wishes) and history and culture (my wishes). She provided us with several itineraries to choose from, and all itineraries were within budget. She guided us on local customs, what visa, and vaccinations would be needed and how to exchange money. She also searched for flights and booked our flights. All that we had to do was pack our bags. When we arrived in Ghana, our tour guide was friendly and eagerly awaiting our arrival. All of the tour guides were very knowledgeable of the country, and made us feel right at home. I never felt like a tourist per se. I will most definitely call on Akua when I'm ready to book my next adventure

When I first started looking into travel arrangements for Ghana, I felt overwhelmed. We had traveled in East Africa many times, but this was a first for us with two teenagers. After talking with Akua, I felt it would be manageable and more importantly a wonderful trip. We visited our niece in the Peace Corps then traveled some before returning home. Our travel arrangements all went smoothly, from the early stages of planning and getting immunizations, to the last day of the trip. We were fortunate also to actually meet and travel with Akua for part of the time. We are so glad our paths crossed, and we are so very grateful for all of the work Akua and Michael did to make our trip a success. We would definitely recommend her services to anyone trying to Ghana. Thank you!

Our Ghana Trip

Akua was wonderful to work with planning our custom tour to Ghana, Togo and Benin. We started planning our trip more than a year out and prior to the COVID pandemic. She advised us on required vaccines and medications, getting visas, PCR testing and anything else needed to be ready for our trip, Planning travel during the uncertainty of the pandemic was a little stressful . We trusted Akua's advise and experience to help us make decisions about our itinerary. She kept us updated on travel requirements at home and for our destinations. What started as a three-country tour became an extended Ghana tour when Ghana's land borders remained closed due to the pandemic. Akua worked with us and our Ghana guide to ensure we had a fantastic tour. (We enjoyed Ghana so much that we extended our tour for a few extra days.) Akua wasn't physically traveling with us but she was always available when needed. Out trip would have been very different had we not used her professional services.
