About Me

When thinking of a perfect Vacation Japan comes to mind. Japan is a stunning country that is well known for its culture, history, remarkable landscapes, and unique style of  cuisine. Japan would be your ideal travel destination if you are seeking a unique and unforgettable experience. When visiting Japan you will have an incredible range of attractions, natural landscapes and delicious food to choose from.

After living in Japan for 3 years, I have had the change to explore and experience everything from Mt. Fuji, Sapporo, Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Hiroshima and more.

You may be asking when is the best time to visit Japan. Well here is my answer. It all depends on what you want to see.

Japan consistently is ranked as one of the best destinations for any skiing or snowboarding enthusiast. You will want to plan to travel between December and March to catch the best snow season. Hitting the slopes in places like Nagano or Hokkaido will surely have you enjoying your ski adventure. While you are at it, be sure to hit up the Snow and Ice Festival in Sapporo and see the sky high intricate Ice sculptures! When you aren't skiing or Snowboarding this would also be the perfect time to hit up a traditional Japanese Onsen.

Want to see Mt. Fuji in all it's glory behind a field of fresh bloomed flowers or hit up the Cherry Blossom Festival? Your best time to visit is between April and June. This is the perfect time to visit historical monuments and temples that will take your breath away.

Do you want to see the beaches of Japan? Visit the Glass beaches or pottery beaches? What about hiking Mt. Fuji or island hopping. Summer months of July through September. Japan is a know for having hot and humid summers. Most people tend to visit during this time and head up into the mountains to hike or to the beaches to surf, swim and paddle board. This is also a time of great fireworks and Century old festivals.

As Fall sets in and the summer heat starts to fade, you are going to get some perfect weather. This is when you want to visit to see the changing fall colors. Vivid Oranges, Reds and yellows start to create a perfect back drop for the historical monuments and temples. This is a great time to visit the like of places like Hiroshima!

It's no wonder so many people add Japan to their holiday bucket list travel destinations.

Increíble adventure
Reviewed By Tokyo the land of the stairs - Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Nara | Traveled to Japan | East and Southeast Asia
We had an incredible family vacation and adventure in Japan. By having all our trip organized by Erin Shepherd makes our itinerary so easy to follow. We enjoyed the places we visited, being emerged in their culture and food was fantastic. Everywhere we ate the food was amazing. Most of the tour guides were excellen except the tour driver for the Fuji mountain, he wasn’t local and didn’t explain about historical places. He just told us the name, took us to the places and that’s it. Although the view it was phenomenal. We had a lot of walking and were exhausted at the end of the day, but we don’t regret it at all.
Erin Shepherd responded
"Thank you for your kind words. I am so glad to hear you enjoyed your adventure. Thank you for your feedback on the Fuji tour. I apologize for that mishap. This tour is suppose to be led by a local so the fact that it wasn't is upsetting to me. I will be teaching out to the company to find out what is going on and correct this moving forward for future clients. I hope you will reach out to me for your next adventure. Remember there isn't anything I can't help you with. "
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

On more than one occasion, she found better deals, which saved us a lot of money not to mention time it would've taken for me to extensively research everything.
