Our experience was terrific. We came to Missy with the plan of getting married on a beach in the Caribbean. Missy guided us through many different options to help us find the right one for us.
Missy not only was in constant contact with us, but also with our wedding planner at the resort to ensure that everything went according to plan. What could have been a very difficult and stressful process was made very simple. Her recommendation was great. We really enjoyed our resort, it was perfect for our group.

Missy planned a superb trip for us, which unfortunately we were unable to take due to illness. So my review is primarily about the great job she did securing complete refunds from the cruise line and insurance company, including all airfare and deposits. I filled out a couple of forms and she took it from there.
If every trip went off without a hitch, we wouldn't always need a great travel agent. But they don't, and we do. And Missy is a great travel agent.

Working with Missy is a pleasure every time. This is the third time we have booked a vacation through Missy. I find it beneficial to use a travel agent when traveling to a foreign country, because it makes things a lot easier when you get there in terms of finding your transportation from the airport to the hotel, then departing, etc. We had a bad experience in Cabo with the hotel (which had nothing to do with Missy) and she made it right for us. I like working with Missy because she is prompt, friendly and really knowledgable. I have thrown a lot of scenarios out at Missy when planning a vacation and she never minds giving us as much info as we need to make us feel comfortable planning our vacation.

We planned travel after the COVID-19 kit. Missy was incredibly helpful in rebooking and rescheduling flights and making sure we were up-to-date on all of the important information the government was saying about travel.

Missy has been amazing since the first time we used her services! She went above and beyond to help us plan the most amazing wedding trip ever! We have continued to work with her and send all our friends and family to her because she always makes sure you're taken care of.

On our first vacation, we encountered an issue with our room reservation. I got Missy on the phone and explained the issue. She said "Don't worry about it. Go have fun and I'll take care of it." Sure enough, 2 hours later, a resort employee found us and told us everything was taken care of! Amazing!

Living in Minnesota by the time January comes we are in need of some Vitamin D and Sunshine, For 19 years Missy has been providing us wonderful adventures in the Sun. She has put us on Cruise ships, sent us to Ixtapa, Cozumel, Cancun, Playa, Riviera Maya, Cabo San Lucas and Punta Cana.

We had never been on a cruise before so we thought it best to use a travel agent. My brother recommended Travel Leaders and we contacted Missy. She was so helpful and knowledgeable. She answered all our questions, provided valuable advice and many tips which made our first cruise very enjoyable and worry-free. Cruising through Glacier Bay was breathtaking. Upon our return from Alaska we contacted Missy and booked a future cruise to Hawaii. She got us a great deal with lots of extras. She always responds promptly. She will be our travel agent for life.

Our Disney World trip was amazing due to the planning and expertise of Missy. Without her, I would have spent hours and hours scouring the internet for tips and tricks. From assisting in deciding where to stay (using our budget), Missy also booked our Fastpasses which were perfect for our 5 year old son and made our restaurant reservations (which allowed my husband and I to relax for a little bit, while also thinking about the needs of our son).

This is the forth time working with Missy and she never disappoints. From the first moment I contact her until the day our trip begins, she is there for us. She is available to answer any of my questions, even the 'silly' ones. Covid added an extra layer to our last trip, traveling over seas. A few days before leaving, it appears some of the rules changed in our ports. Missy let us know and made recommendations to help ensure we weren't surprised by any glitches. On pretty short notice, my husband and I asked Missy to suggest upscale adults-only all-inclusive resorts in the Cancun area. Missy provided the details for five resorts within a day of our request. Once our decision was made, Missy provided all the documents and details very promptly. Because of Covid, she suggested Delta (center seat empty), and made us aware of required Covid testing before reentering the US (provided at our resort, with results within 4 hours). We stayed at the Iberostar Grand Paraiso, and the property and staff were beyond amazing. We have used Missy’s services before, and she has not disappointed. Her expertise and attention to detail make her stand out as a travel professional.

Missy was so helpful from the start! Beautiful resort and location. Weather was perfect! While we were in Mexico, the Covid pandemic and social distancing started back home. Missy reassured us that we will be fine getting home and was in touch with our crew giving updates everyday. While we were aware of everything and uncertainty at home, we were still able to enjoy our vacation knowing Missy was taking care of everything and would notify us of any changes.

Barcelo in the Riviera Maya is a favorite of ours. My husband loves to snorkel their and the miles of great beach to walk on in the morning sun.

Secrets Aura Cozumel was better than I was expecting. I had read some bad reviews, but our experience was great! We had hot water in the shower and the air conditioning worked as well. We did have a little dripping from the air conditioner in our bathroom and maintenance tried to fix it for us, but it kept dripping on and off all week. No big deal. The staff were wonderful! Very friendly and helpful. The food was great at the a la carte restaurants. Our favorite was the hibachi dinner on the roof at the Sky Bar. The chef was great and the food was delicious. The buffet left a bit too be desired. Not very many things to choose from and the food was pretty bland. The beach was great, but it was kind of difficult to get into the water because of the rocks right off the beach. Missy did a great job steering us in the right direction for where to go on our vacation again this year - she always does. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone as a travel agent.

Delta Vacation arranged by Missy. Missy is a pro. 12 days at Sheraton in Poipu. Beautiful room on ocean side. Planing restaurant options (expensive- expect $70/2 for breakfast). Highlights- sunsets outside our balcony, hiking Heritage Trail, sea turtles beaching night Poipu beach, reading poolside, Capt. Andy dinner cruise along Napali coast.

I have worked with my travel agent Missy Skoog for quite some time now and she is extremely helpful through the whole traveling process, from the first phone call to book my vacation, to answering all my questions on suggested places to travel and the different hotels and options, to the welcoming home email she sends after every trip, she truly is a very patient, caring, informative agent who sets your mind at ease when traveling abroad. After traveling to Cancun and staying at the same hotel (Fiesta Americana Condesa)for several years, (which by the way is a wonderful place to go) I decided I wanted to try a different hotel (Riu Palace Las Americas) and Missy was very honest with my hotel choice and told me that I may not be as happy with my choice of hotel that I wanted to try and gave me the reasons why. I decided to give the Riu a try as I was traveling with three other people and had to consult with them. We ended up being pleasantly surprised and extremely happy at the Riu Palace Las Americas in Cancun. The hotel was beautiful on the outside, a very clean bright white building with flowers all around, the inside was beautiful with huge dark wood pillars, a stained glass area overhead when you walked into the hotel, nice clean comfortable furniture to sit on. The check in and check out was fast and efficient, all of the staff were wonderful no matter what you were doing or what area you were at. The food was good and they had plenty of options. The most impressive about this hotel is how immaculately clean it is and how well they have kept it up for its age!

Absolutely awesome cruise! We loved all of our excursions! Missy's arrangements made everything so much easier for us! The Delta flights to and from Fort Lauderdale were great! I really appreciated the hotel arrangements the night before our cruise and the direct shuttle in the morning to the ship. I also appreciated the arranged shuttle from the ship to the airport! Everything went smoothly and on time. No surprises or unexpected charges.

My wife and I and friends have been using Missy to book our trips for years. My wife and I just got off a cruise on Royal Caribbeans Allure of the Seas and we had a great time. However, we had an issue with our car rental in getting to the port. Missy had nothing to do with our car rental, I booked that myself. However I called Missy on a Saturday for help. The office was closed but she called me back within five minutes. Missy spent over an hour trying to work on solutions, even though this wasn't her issue. We made the ship by the hair on our chin, but made it. Fantastic trip first class from the time we touched down in Egypt till we left. Our multi-generational family trip to Paris was wonderful!. This was in great part to Missy. Her expert knowledge in travel allowed me to enjoy the planning as well as the trip itself. Ireland and the tour couldnt have been any better for my family and me. My point to doing this is Missy did above and beyond for us. We had flight issues and lost luggage and stressful times. In a foriegn land she was there to answer questions and help with the anxiety of a stressful situation while in Ireland. Never having experiencing these things before and not knowing what to do she was the stedy hand and using all her resources to help. This was our first river cruise and we were 100 % pleased with Missy Skoog, our travel agent. She was professional and responsive to our questions. This was not so easy because we were traveling with 2 other couples from other parts of the USS. So 3 couples to ask questions and keep satisfied. Missy helped us with travel by air to France, then to Spain, back to France, and the return to San Francisco. The ship AMAKristina, was clean, modern, well appointed and the staff were terrific. The food was very good and the evening entertainment was also very good. The excursions were well organized and informative. My favorites were the ancient Roman aqueduct and later to Monserrat monastery near Barcelona. Our least favorite was the night time "ghost walk" at Viviers.

Our Alaska cruise several years ago, along with this recent East Coast cruise were perfect. Both were on Holland America, our new favorite cruise line. Great way to see a city! Rockland ME was such a quaint little town, with great lobster rolls. Quebec was beautiful - we thoroughly enjoyed walking the quaint streets. We also visited Montmorency Falls, which was incredible. While on the ship we put in our deposit for a future cruise, and are looking forward to having Missy help us plan!

We recently took an AMA Waterways Rhine River cruise from Basel, Switzerland to Amsterdam, with a 4 day pre-excursion in Zurich & Lucerne. It was an amazing trip! Our trip to Cornwall was trouble free and satisfying thanks to Missy and her team at Travelleaders. I just returned from a two-week vacation (land tour and cruise) to Greece with my niece and nephew. It was phenomenal. This is the third trip that Missy has planned for me (Italy, Australia, Greece). We stayed at at the Barcelo Maya Riviera in Riviera Maya. Our trip was top notch. We loved the Adults Only hotel at the resort. Everything about the resort was wonderful. We especially appreciated the cleanliness of the rooms and the whole resort, the patio hot tub overlooking the ocean, and the amazing food all week. Also, the ocean was so beautiful with white sand. Pools and bars were excellent. The service all week, wherever we went, was top notch. There was lots to do at the resort from shows, to dance club, to excellent restaurants and buffets, to volleyball, to live music, and of course the beautiful ocean and lots of pools and bars. We would definitely go back here and would use Missy Skoog for all future travel plans. She got the best possible price for us at an excellent resort. I had been researching the South Pacific for about 3 1/2 yrs prior to contacting Missy. I was pretty set in the islands I wanted to see & things I wanted to do but I didn't feel at all comfortable with the details of planning a trip like this for my sister & me with it involving multiple weeks, many flights & crossing the International Date Line. That meant I was a little stubborn in what I wanted & Missy came through with flying colors & gave us the trip of a lifetime. We had wanted to go to Fiji,The Cook Islands & French Polynesia & were thinking maybe allowing 5 weeks. It ended up being 6 weeks but so glad we did. Missy worked back & forth with a few different vendors to come up with a 5th itinerary that we finally agreed on. There was only 1 accommodation we were absolutely set on in Aitutaki that we couldn't get through the vendors because it was very basic & remote so Missy got us the flights to & from Rarotonga to Aitutaki & we contacted the place ourself to book that accommoda

This is our second time booking with Missy and things went just as smoothly as the first time! Our first trip was a destination wedding and if you're thinking of doing that using Missy is a.must. The stress it takes off of the planning is immense! Additionally, having a travel advocate on your side the whole way is priceless. Getting ready to book a third trip for next year!

My husband and I were not totally sure where we wanted to go but knew we wanted someplace warm and a beach. Missy helped me sort through several options and even had to change the dates for me a few times. She is so easy to work with and would always respond promptly with any changes I made when searching. She booked our whole trip to Cabo, including flight so we didn't have to worry about a thing! We stayed at the Playa Grande Resort which has a beautiful beach front on one side and the the Marina full of restaurants and fun places to go, on the other. The resort is very clean, gorgeously landscaped, has multiple pools and bars, and the people are super friendly! We never had a bad meal either! Missy has scheduled many our trips to Maui which we go to every January. She does a great job handling all of our arrangements. We stay at Kaanapali Shores in Maui every year. It is very comfortable, is right on the ocean and has great whale watching. Each year it seems as though we say this was our best trip but I think this year was even better. We love Maui and can't wait to have Missy start soon on our 2026 Maui vacation. We are probably biased but feel Maui is the best of the Hawaiian islands. Aloha!

Missy put together an entire month of travel experiences, accommodations and transportation modes. Somehow she managed to make it all clear, enjoyable and workable.

Missy is a great agent. She returns texts, emails, phone calls quickly. She scheduled a 12 day Delta Vacation to Hawaii. She stayed within the dollar amounts I asked for. We did not go big with Resort accommodations, but we were very pleased with both resorts- Royal Kona Resort-Hawaii and Sheraton Kauai Resort-Kauai. Big beautiful rooms over looking ocean in both. Perhaps a bit dated showers in both (shower in tub). Great included breakfast at Royal Kona overlooking waves crashing the rocks below. Big Island highlights- Volcanoes National Park is a must. Stayed at Volcanic Inn (modest B&B) so we could get early start in park-smart. Hiked Crater trail across lava field, Devastation Field, Lava Tube. Drove Chain of Craters Road to beach and sea arch. My husband and I traveled to Riu Palace Riviera Maya with 3 children (ages 9, 13, and 16). It was important to us to stay in a place that guaranteed adjoining rooms. We read so many bad reviews of resorts where families asked for adjoining rooms and didn't get them. We felt much more comfortable working with a travel agent to make sure our family's needs were met. We loved our resort and had clean and spacious adjoining rooms.

Missy set my husband and I up with the trip of a lifetime - a 12-night Mediterranean cruise. We cruised on Celebrity's newest ship the Ascent, leaving out of Barcelona, Spain. She starts each trip planning process with her going over what she thinks it important; she sends out maps and sample itineraries, then lets us figure out the rest. I have had the pleasure of working with Missy on two different trips. So lucky to have found her! One trip to Europe and just recently to Hawaii. She was instrumental in helping to find the perfect hotels and/or resorts, tour recommendations, transportation and listened to me on preferences. She was always willing to tweak the plan and help make it better than I could have planned on my own. And planning is normally what I do : )

Missy did a great job or coordinating our family trip of 12 to the Riviera Maya.

We used Missy's services because we were combining a cruise with an extension to Rome and needed some help finding tours, a hotel and transfers. Missy worked with us and gave us great ideas. We loved our hotel, the transfers went perfectly, and the tours were first rate! We would definitely recommend her and would use her services again.

She was always efficient at getting back to me in a timely manner and knew the answer to all my questions.

We had booked a group tour to Europe which included the Passion Play in Oberammergau. Missy helped us book hotels to extend our vacation for 10 days. When the pandemic hit, and travel to Europe became impossible, we were quite concerned because we had booked our hotels at the non-refundable rates. Missy worked endlessly for us, and every dollar was refunded to us.

I had long desired to go to Italy but really didn't know how to go about getting the experience of several different locations with an adequate amount of time in each. My research turned up Missy Skoog's name as not only someone who was an expert on Italy but also someone who loved it as well. Right from the start I knew she had been a great find. She listened to my vague ideas and then turned them into a practical and detailed plan. We worked with each other to develop an Itinerary that accomplished my goal and met my budget. There were a lot of details to consider which she meticulously took care of with amazing ease. I am absolutely positive that I could never have put together a trip like this without her expert help.

Missy was very helpful in helping me plan my vacation to Ireland! Trying to plan our trip alone was stressful. I had no idea what I was doing, and overwhelmed with all the choices until we got Missy’s help. She booked great hotels that were in the center of the cities we wanted to see so it was easy for us to see as much as possible. She provided a couple of different itineraries so we could choose which was best for what we wanted out of the trip and the one we chose was perfect! The day tour to northern Ireland was wonderful because we had a great tour guide that gave us so much information about the history of the area. It was an amazing trip and I will always remember our first adventure to the Emerald Isle. Of course we’ll be going back in the future. And with Missy’s help, she makes the planning easy, quick, and within our budget. She is very knowledgable and experienced in travel and will definitely use her services in the future.

Missy has planned a couple of trips for us now, and she's shown herself to be both knowledgable and easy to work with. For instance, I recently (foolishly!) had her book with a carrier against her advice, because it was a little cheaper than her original recommendation. My attempt go cut corners backfired when the cheaper carrier cancelled our return flight, and we had to book on the airline Missy had originally recommended, at the last minute. I learned my lesson- she knows her stuff!

We have enough confidence with Missy and her agency that we can let them book tours for us on our travels, and they've always turned out great.
