AUSTRALIAAAAAAAA

Two weeks in Australia felt like a dream come true. We took this trip to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary, and we had been saving our Delta Skymiles that entire time so that we could kick things off in true style flying Delta One across the Pacific. From the moment we landed it was nonstop magic.

Byron Bay was our first stop—three days of laid-back beaches, coastal walks, and that relaxed surf-town energy that makes you never want to leave. It was the perfect way to start it off, see some Koalas in the wild, and adjust to the time change.

From there, we dove into Melbourne for three days of culture, coffee, laneways, and incredible food. We had some incredible meals and went on a fantastic coffee lovers tour which we booked through Viator. We lucked out with weather it seems, cuse we were told the weather in Melbourne was generally all over the place, but it was hot and sunny the whole time we were there. We did a lot of our own exploring as well.

Finally, we spent the rest of our trip in Sydney, timing it perfectly for Mardi Gras (Sydney's Gay Pride Festival). The city was alive with color, joy, and community—an unforgettable celebration of love and pride set against one of the most iconic backdrops in the world. We had some more incredible meals, toured the iconic Opera House, went to Mardi Gras parties, traveled to amazing beaches, visited the Sydney Zoo, climbed the Sydney Bridge, and ended our time with a Kylie Minogue concert. 

We barely scratched the surface of the country, and will definitely be back to see many more parts that we didn't get to this time around. It was a great first visit, and we came back with LOTS of recommendations in all 3 cities.
