Traveling as a Distinctive Voyage host in Portugal

I do not have a middle name since my first name is Maryalice,  but several friends have suggested it be "Go!" or "Travel!"  My first taste of travel came from my mother when she took me on a business trip to Asia--from there I realized that travel needed to be a part of my life. That was 44 years ago.

 My mother and I traveled until she was 93--we traveled to every continent--some more than others.  Our favorite destination was Italy--our ancestry. We cruised together all over the world and also took escorted tours.  Some trips, as I became more experienced, I planned for us.  By that time, I had started in the travel industry in 1983. I then added small group travel to my resume.  The travel industry gave me the chances to explore the world which I would like to help you do.

My first trip to Asia enlightened my love for the Asian culture.  Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and China.  Those journeys were over 10 in number.  Vietnam is on my bucket list right now. Being of Italian background, I have ventured all over Italy numerous times.--more times than I really can count.  I believe, my favorite city in the world is Florence.  A wonderful memory was a Thanksgiving spent at a Villa in Tuscany venturing all over the beautiful landscape, its surrounding areas,  and spending quality time in Florence. Cooking classes are also a favorite experience in Rome, Florence or any Italian city you visit.

An additional specialty that most travelers enjoy, is cruising.  I have cruised on several different lines, but a head waiter years ago on Royal Caribbean suggested to me to go on Celebrity.  I did for the first time---So....after 32 cruises on Celebrity now, I believe I am sold on them.  I can sell them because of my experiences and knowledge of the line, their ships, itineraries, and their amenities.  Of course there are other luxury cruise lines available, and I would present all of the choices to my clients. River cruises are high on my list also, and I have experienced six of these -- so relaxing!

My other travels include three visits to South America-Peru for two weeks. Christmas Markets (six different times),  Greece and Hawaii (six times), Australia and New Zealand, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the major capitals and cities of Europe.   Planning for Destination weddings, (Hawaii, the Caribbean, and Switzerland), business travel for the executives, employees and the board for a corporation I retired from, are other experiences I have.
