Greece will steal your heart—I promise.

Greece isn’t just a place on the map for me—it’s home.

I was born in Athens, and some of my favorite memories are exploring the hills of Kifissia as a kid. My first “big role”? Playing Miltiades the Younger during a seventh-grade reenactment of the Battle of Marathon. (I may have taken my performance a little more seriously than my classmates!)

That’s why every time someone reaches out asking me to help plan their trip to Greece, I light up. I know what’s waiting for them: adventure, beauty, incredible food, and the kind of memories that stay with you forever.

Picture this: you step out of the Athens airport, and the Mediterranean greets you with salt air, olive trees, and bursts of bougainvillea. Athens itself is electric: ancient history colliding with modern life in the coolest way. One moment you’re wandering through Plaka’s old-world charm or standing in awe at the Parthenon, and the next you’re sipping cocktails on a Monastiraki rooftop or vintage shopping in Exarcheia with the Acropolis glowing above you.From there, the islands are your playground.

Paros: whitewashed villages, bougainvillea-filled lanes, and endless crystalline waters.

Crete: mythology meets wild beauty—think Knossos Palace, pink-sand beaches, gorges to hike, and food so good you’ll dream about it (the olive oil, honey, cheese, and wine? Unreal).

Santorini: those blue-domed churches, Oia sunsets, and cliffside views that are every bit as magical as the postcards.Milos: surreal landscapes, hidden coves, and beaches that feel straight out of another world.

Paxos: my personal favorite—a little off the radar, relaxed, colorful, and brimming with charm. Perfect for slow days, seaside tavernas, and swims in turquoise water.

Everywhere you go, you’ll feel philoxenia—the Greek spirit of welcoming strangers like friends. Whether it’s devouring saganaki, sipping ouzo as the sun sets, or swapping stories with locals who insist you try their grandmother’s recipe, you’ll find yourself part of something bigger than a vacation.

For me, Greece is layered. History, myth, beaches, mountains, flavors, and faces that stay with you. It’s a place that doesn’t just show you beauty; it seeps into your heart.
