The Terraced Lands of Java
The Terraced Lands of Java

Indonesia is made up of 17,000 islands, each offering its own unique charm and adventure. From the bustling streets of Jakarta to the tranquil beaches of Bali, Indonesia is a land of contrasts and diversity. Indonesia’s array of cultures, languages, religions, and traditions are matched by its gorgeous natural landscapes, including lush rainforests, majestic volcanoes, and vibrant coral reefs.

Whether you're exploring ancient temples on Java, savoring delicious cuisine on Bali, diving into the crystal-clear waters of Lombok, observing the Komodo Dragons on the Island of Komodo, or hiking volcanoes on Sumatra, Indonesia promises an unforgettable journey filled with wonder and discovery. Perhaps you’re looking for a traditional, first-time visit to Indonesia, or maybe you want to return and go off the beaten path. Regardless, I can help you plan a fabulous trip that will enrich your experiences and create unforgettable memories.

Java is a captivating island where history and culture intertwine seamlessly. Exploring the ancient temples of Borobudur and Prambanan offers unique lessons in history and spirituality. Having the fortune of being able to visit villages, and speak with the people, will give you a unique glimpse into the daily lives and traditions of the locals, enriching your understanding of Javanese culture. A visit to Mount Bromo, an active volcano, would allow for some adventure as well. The breathtaking landscapes and the thrill of witnessing volcanic activity leave an indelible mark. Having experienced all these wonders, I was able to truly embrace the diverse and enriching offerings of Java. Not to mention, stay in fabulous luxury properties including Amanjiwo, a luxurious resort close to Borobudur.

Bali is another popular island in Indonesia.  Bali is a paradise that offers a blend of adventure, culture, and relaxation. In Ubud, you can experience the thrill of white-water rafting on the Ayung River, surrounded by lush greenery and stunning waterfalls. The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary is home to over 1,200 long-tailed macaques and offers a unique opportunity to observe these playful creatures in their natural habitat. For a serene experience, take a walk along the Campuhan Ridge, which provides impressive views of the river and surrounding hills.

Exploring the traditional villages and old towns of Bali, such as Penglipuran Village, gives you a glimpse into the island's rich Balinese heritage. Additionally, don’t miss the opportunity to spend an afternoon with a local family, learning how to make a traditional offering. Finish this beautiful experience with a water blessing from a priest.

Bali is also known for relaxation and beaches. Seminyak is a popular spot for many to visit because of its array of beach clubs. But there are many other wonderful spots that are a little quieter, such as Nusa Dua Beach. This tranquil setting boasts calm waters and pristine sands, perfect for families and water sports enthusiasts. Jimbaran Beach is known for its romantic sunsets and seafood fare. It also sits close to the famous Uluwatu Temple. Surfers love Padang Beach and its beautiful rock formations. Sanur Beach invites leisurely strolls and sunrise views along its long promenade. Lastly, Suluban Beach, also known as Blue Point Beach, captivates with its unique cave entrance and breathtaking vistas, making it a favorite among adventurers. Whether you're looking for relaxation, adventure, or a vibrant social scene, Bali's beaches have something for everyone.

Bali and Java are only two of the thousands of islands in Indonesia. There are so many islands to discover. Hence why this country has such a rich variety of culture, religions, experiences and people. No matter where your travel takes you in Indonesia, I would love to help you plan an experience of a lifetime.

Caroline Nolan made this trip!!
Reviewed By David S. - Las Vegas, NV | Traveled to Whistler ~ British Columbia ~ Canada
Caroline's attention to detail is second to none. I don't know how I have been traveling for most of my life without her help. From free room upgrades to having someone with a sign with my name on it waiting for me as I exited the airport, this was hands down the easiest and best travel experience I have ever had. Caroline was always available when I had questions, which was not too often because her emails were so detailed, she answered my questions before I even knew what to ask for. She is clearly an expert in her field, and is what makes the difference between a good trip and a truly exceptional one. I don't settle for second best, and that's why I will always use Caroline when booking anything in the future. She just makes my life easier and better. And that's a commodity I do not take for granted!!!
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

Best Honeymoon!
Reviewed By Cole H - Dallas, Texas | Traveled to Greece | Europe
We could not give Caroline a higher recommendation. This is the second “major” trip she has planned for us, and both were a near flawless experience. She has never steered us wrong. On both trips I had my mind made up on certain things going into the planning but she convinced me otherwise and I am so glad she did. Caroline really did know best and at the end of each trip we were so glad we made the changes she suggested as they made for a much better overall experience. She is responsive and extremely helpful before, during, and after the trip. There is no doubt we will continue to use her for all our future travel planning needs. We can’t thank her enough for all the help she has been.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

Magnificent travel agent
Reviewed By Sandra H. - Clyde Hill, WA | Traveled to Italy ~ Europe
Caroline was exactly who our group of 6 needed as we planned our trip to Italy. I came to her with an outline of where we wanted to go and the dates we wanted to go, and after some consultation back and forth she really helped me and our group get a spectacular itinerary together. She had some very thoughtful insights about the benefit of staying in one place for a few nights rather than our original thought of a new city and hotel each night. Her lodging choices were lovely and the excursions she planned for us were so enjoyable. Her knowledge of the region and the novel ideas of how to take in the cities resulted in an unforgettable trip. I also enjoyed working with her throughout the process. All six of us are looking forward to working with Caroline on future trips, whether it is the group of us or just traveling as couples. She is magnificent!
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

Awesome AmaWaterways Cruise
Reviewed By Kathleen C - New York, NY | Traveled to Europe
Caroline was wonderful to work with while planning our AmaWaterways Captivating Rhine cruise. She helped us choose the perfect itinerary and even built out a couple of days before and after the cruise to continue exploring. Everything felt smooth and well organized from start to finish. Because of her, we were able to just relax and enjoy the experience.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

Sandals Wedding
Reviewed By Katherine G. - Atlanta, GA | Traveled to Jamaica | Caribbean
Caroline made the entire experience of planning our Sandals wedding feel effortless from start to finish. We had originally chosen Sandals Montego Bay for our wedding, but after Hurricane Rafael last November forced the resort to close through May 2026, we suddenly had to pivot to a new plan. Caroline stepped in immediately, kept me calm, and handled everything with such confidence and care. Because of her efforts, we were even able to keep the same wedding dates at Sandals Ochi, which meant so much to us and our guests who had already booked their flights and rooms. From the very beginning, she understood exactly what we were looking for and guided us to the perfect fit. Her communication was always clear, timely, and thoughtful, which gave us so much peace of mind throughout the process. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how easy and seamless it was to work with her as well. We truly felt taken care of every step of the way and could not have asked for a better travel advisor.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.
