I was transported to a different time when exploring the Roman ruins in Jerash, and floating effortlessly in the Dead Sea was a rare opportunity.

I couldn't help but think about the transformational impact of travel as I said goodbye to Petra. Along with allowing me to see the magnificence of a long-gone civilization, this journey also made me more aware of the strength and beauty of the Jordanian people. It served as a timely reminder of the value of protecting the cultural history of the world and appreciating the diverse range of cultural traditions that make our planet unique.
