About Me

Exploring Ketchikan with my Mom.
Exploring Ketchikan with my Mom.

In Fall 2024 I sailed Princess Cruises to Alaska. I had completed my (certification name) and was offered an educational cruise. It was a great opportunity to experience the product firsthand. We sailed roundtrip from Seattle, WA which is a typical Alaska cruise itinerary. Princess Cruises is the leader in Alaska cruises featuring 18 ships, 40 itineraries and their own lodges near Denali National Park, Kenai Fjords National Park and Fairbanks. They are the gold standard when it comes to Alaska cruising.Princess Cruises does several things well. From offering special Alaska themed foods to multiple learning opportunities, Princess really is the Alaska leader for a reason!

We really enjoyed the ports that we visited. Below is a quick recap of each one.

Ketchikan: This is a great port for shopping. There are tons of unique shops you can check out. I recommend taking the short walk to Creek Street for some shopping. You can find some one of a kind totem poles, Alaska exclusive snacks and sodas as well as learn more about the history of Creek Street. We tried Alaska Crepe Co which offered many sweet and savory crepes. One of the best crepes I’ve ever had!

Juneau: We did the Gold Belt Tram Excursion that took us 1800 ft to the top of a mountain. They had a restaurant, coffee shop, gift shop and lookout viewing area. One of the most memorable parts of my vacation is having an amazing vantage point. We also checked out the Red Dog Saloon which was a fun, adults only, old-west themed bar. You can try local beers and sodas as well as try some of their delicious appetizers.

Skagway: One of the most popular excursions to do in Skagway is the  White Pass & Yukon Route Train excursion. This excursion is popular for a reason. We were able to listen to narration that talked about the historic Gold Rush while also seeing stunning views of mountains and valleys. You can’t see views like that anywhere else.

Overall, Princess Cruises is great for multi-generational families that want an immersive Alaska experience.

Large Family trip
Reviewed By Ric - Waukesha wi | Traveled to Punta Cana | Dominican Republic | Caribbean
12 family members went to Punta Cana. Ages ranged from 24-82. Sarah did a great job organizing the trip. She made sure wheel chairs were set up for 4 of our elderly travelers. She called a day before to make sure everything was set up. The vacation was more relaxing with Sarah’s assistance.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.
