Lava off the coast of Hawaii

Aloha,

Can you guess my favorite place to travel?  Yes, Hawaii has my heart.  15 years ago, my daughter applied to go to the University of Hawaii, Manoa and was accepted launching our first trip to paradise.  As fate would have it, we flew across the Pacific Ocean to tour the college and as they say, "the rest is history".

I have been blessed to enjoy the soft white, black and green sand of the tropical islands of Hawaii.  I have seen lava flowing from the active volcanos on the Big Island of Hawaii, the breathtaking views of Waimea Canyon in Kauai, also known as the Grand Canyon of the Islands, it stretches ten miles in length and is 3,000 feet deep.  I had a whale swim under our catamaran in the old whaling village of Lahaina on Maui and the must do every trip is the luau at Paradise Cove on the island of Oahu.  Yes, I love Hawaii!

Other destinations that never disappoint are Alaska, the US Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands, great options for travelers who enjoy knowing they are on US soil.  And we can't leave out the Caribbean and Mexico.  What a great way to start your cruising career.  If you want to venture across the pond the ports in Europe make seeing a multiple of countries and cultures in one trip so easy! 

One of my favorite things about cruising is I never have to change hotels.  Cruising allows you to unpack one time and relax!
