About Me

Accessible Beach Wheelchair

I have been travelling internationally for almost 40 years and now am able to devote myself full time to being a travel adviser. I adore immersion art, architecture wildlife and snorkeling. Whetting my palate with great food and wines, some trips had 100% of the focus on food and wine. I even met my wife online because of a simple headline, "MUST HAVE PASSPORT AND BE WILLING TO USE IT." We both have shared passions in exploring both domestic destinations and international ones.

My two most requested types of itineraries are for curated European land travels and cruise packages. Not everyone wants cookie cutter itineraries with little to no down time. Others love those same tours to get the most from their journey without concern for logistics or required gear for adventures off the beaten path. This can be a lower cost option for many. My clients who prefer the escorted routes like G Adventures, Insight and Trafalgar tours. My middle aged sailors love Virgin, Royal Caribbean and Holland America, while others love Oceania and Viking.

Most of my clients prefer custom trips. Custom routes, excursions, and number of days per destination are based on their interests. Christmas Markets by rail? A custom German heritage itinerary under $5000 with flights, hotels and tours? Two weeks in Italy with mobility limitations? I got you.

Small or large groups, private and local guides coupled with independent options allow my clients to get the most from their budget. Having been a travel advisor for just 2 years, I already have clients who are now on their their third itinerary I uniquely created for them.

Matching cruises with individual personalities and budgets to specific cruise lines/ships is also in my wheelhouse. I have planned trips for solo cabins, themed river cruises for groups, and couples simply celebrating life.

With my family cruise history numbering in the dozens (dating back to 1988), most of Europe's rivers have been covered and many popular cruise companies tested (I am certified with 10.)

More couples well outside the boomer generation are learning the value cruises offer. Multi-generational voyages are growing in number as travellers see value in both immersion and education for the adults with added family times and kids spaces. Unpacking once, you can visit more countries and places than a traditional land package. More cruise lines are offering extended port times and even overnights in popular ports. Various port excursions and packages are offered to my travellers to enrich the experience.

Certified by the Cruise Line International Association as a Certified Cruise Counselor and by multiple river and ocean cruise lines, combined with my on-going studies with various vendors and in multiple destinations, my goal is to provide each client their "dream" cruise.

People ask my about my favorite destinations. It's the next one. I am always planning our next adventures over the next 1-2 years. Currently, I am planning Croatia, Australia, New Zealand and Antarctica for myself.

  • Greece, Egypt and Italy fulfilled thirsts for art and ancient cultures.
  • Iceland was all about landscapes and waterfalls and Northern Lights.
  • France was art, wine and food.
  • Galapagos and Tanzania was wildlife under the sea and above it.
  • European Christmas Markets merge the scents of brats, sweet delicacies, wood fires with lights and history. What's not to love?
  • Caribbean cruises and island life are for when life has gotten to hectic and we need chill, eat, and head underwater.

Chances are at least one of my interests overlap with yours. I enjoy finding the balance you need and want to create your dream trip.

Let's break down the barriers of yesterday. Travel is NOT out of reach.

There are cruise lines equipped with special lifts on tenders to enable you to enjoy many parts of the world. There are ships and options for peritoneal dialysis patients and self-administered hemodialysis. ASL is offered by some escorted tours companies. Braille menus or assistive listening devices  are often available. Respite care for families traveling with autistic children can be through AotS.

California Dreaming
Reviewed By Brad - Boston, MA | Traveled to California | USA
This review is way overdue - Carol helped us immeasurably with the 2-week trip we took to Southern California this past fall. She was our "voice of reason" through planning and prep, and while giving us a large number of possible options to think about for lodgings and activities, she also was able to give us great perspective and advice as we tried to work out what we really wanted most to do. She found three great hotels for us (counting the Queen Mary!) that we likely would never have found and/or thought to do, and even more great things to spend our time on. We hadn't had her arrange our flights, but when we did so and then thought something was screwed up, she very calmly helped us calm down and work through the information. I wholeheartedly recommend Carol and "7continents2c" - where I said this review is so far overdue, it's because it took us so long to kind of finish digesting all our thoughts about our trip, but basically, the things that went the most "right" were the things Carol set up, and the few things that didn't go as well were those we should have had her arranging...
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

Carol is the absolute best travel advisor. Her knowledge runs deep and she’s willing to help in every way that she can. She thinks of all the details that would never occur to us.There’s no way that our trip would have been nearly as enjoyable without her input and planning.

Trip of a Lifetime
Reviewed By Judy - Washington, DC | Traveled to Mediterranean | At Sea | At Sea
Carol was amazing in helping us plan our couples trip! From picking the right rooms on the ship with connecting balconies to her generosity and thoughtfulness in giving us our transfers and luggage trackers, Carol watched over us the entire way! When our flights changed times, her app updated us. She laid out a perfect itinerary and gave amazing recommendations for dinner and activities around our Airbnb. She understood that my husband and I had physical limitations and adjusted her recommendations for our adventures. I can’t even imagine how many hours she spent researching all the outings??? She answered emails on the weekends even when we needed to make decisions. She got us great flights! We cruised the Western Med on Royal Carribean with stops at Mallorca, Marseilles, La Spezia, Citivacevechia, and Naples. It was a life changing trip from seeing the Sistine Chapel to an adventurous boat ride to Porto Venere (probably my favorite! Do it!!) I felt like Carol was watching over us though she never once intruded but was there if we needed her. We really appreciate all her expertise, wisdom, and thoroughness! We will definitely use Carol for our trips in the future!
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

A Dreamy Adventure in Paris, the City of Lights!
Reviewed By New to International Travel - Portland, Maine | Traveled to Paris | France | Europe
Our recent trip to Paris, expertly curated by Carol Pierpont, was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully arranged. We were completely enchanted by the stunning sights, starting with the iconic Eiffel Tower shining brightly against the night sky. Exploring the grandeur of Versailles was a highlight, where we felt like royalty wandering through the magnificent gardens and opulent halls. A visit to the Louvre was another unforgettable experience! Standing before masterpieces, including the Mona Lisa, brought art to life in a way we never expected. Carol ensured we avoided the crowds, making our visit even more special. But what truly captivated us was the undeniable romance of Paris. Whether we were strolling along the Seine or enjoying a cozy café, we felt the love in the air. Thanks to Carol, we discovered the heart of Paris and made memories that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait to plan our next adventure with her and, of course, return to Paris again sometime! Highly recommend Carol Pierpont for anyone dreaming of their own Parisian getaway!
Carol Pierpont responded
"Paula I am thrilled that you and John were able to enjoy all the “magic” that Paris offers. I appreciate your kind words and look forward to hearing more about your adventure. The Italy trip we are crafting should be just as amazing as your last 2 trips!. Thanks, Carol"

History in all the Cinque Terra villages is Deep

Italy in a Nutshell

Food, wine, art, architecture, and history are just a few things I loved in Italy. From Rome, you can see so much history such as Trevi Fountain, the Vatican, the Colosseum and more. Taking a train up to Florence, you need spend a few days. See the renowned Duomo, vineyards or head further north to Cinque Terra or NE to the canals of Venice. You...
