Ocean and River Cruise Specialist
A pioneer in travel services Andy has been a travel agent and agency owner since 1965 and, although specializing in cruises( he has sailed over 165 of them), he is also an experienced land and tour destination expert. Bermuda is his favorite resort destination with over 92 visits in his passport. Cruising is his first love but he is also excited about rail travel and exotic destinations by air, land, or by sea. In his personal background he was a Chemistry major in college and more than his PhD his takes pride in his attaining the USCG Captains( license) which explains his love of the water. He also served many years as a private school Headmaster so it is obvious that he is a "people person" and helping people to find their perfect vacation is of primary concern to him. he is passionate about the value of a trusted travel agent and serves as President of Maine ASTA, the American Society of Travel Agents.
Knowledge of Product Vital
Mr Holmes strongly feels that knowledge of product is vital for responsible service to his clients and he regularly attends classes and product-specific training. Recent cruises include 8 transatlantics, a Mediterranean transit , Europe, Hawaii, Alaska, and three fabulous river cruises .. Practice makes perfect---you can’t sell unless you believe!
