I have been in the travel industry since 1974 and have ridden the waves of change in destinations and legality. Starting as the” American Girl” at my first agency with a storefront allowed me to meet and greet prospective travelers with my smile and courtesy of listening to the client’s wants and needs. Later, I traveled the world as an employee of one of the largest travel companies ever-TWA GETAWAY VACATIONS-as their Group Desk Specialist. Several times I was requested to meet my groups across the world to attend their farewell dinner and meet them to discuss their next group tour. Over the years I also joined several associations again to keep in touch with vendors, hoteliers, travel companies, and legal matters in the travel world. Associations like – Professional Travel Agents of North America Tri-State Area, where I started as Secretary then Vice-President and then President. Today, I am President of Worldwide Travel Specialist Association where we continue to educate other travel agents some which are new to this industry.
