Board your ship in Miami
Embarkation for Icon of the Seas is a streamlined process at PortMiami's exclusive Terminal A, known as the "Crown of Miami."
Before arriving, you must complete your online check-in via the Royal Caribbean app. This includes uploading your security photo, scanning your passport, and selecting a specific 30-minute terminal arrival time.
On cruise day, arrive only during your selected time slot. Porters will take your tagged luggage, which will be delivered to your stateroom later. Have your SetSail Pass (the barcode in the app) and passport ready. Inside the terminal, you'll go through a quick security screening, followed by a final document check with a terminal agent.
Because all info is pre-loaded, the process is fast. You'll be walking through the ship's entrance on the Royal Promenade, often within 15-20 minutes of your arrival time.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Complete check-in at least 10 days in advance to make getting on the ship as smooth as possible.

A Young Adult's Day on Icon of the Seas
Here is a day on Icon of the Seas tailored for a young adult's pace.
Start your day with high-adrenaline at Thrill Island. Conquer the Crown's Edge, the part-skywalk, part-ropes course that dangles you over the ocean. Then, race your friends down the Category 6 waterslides—Pressure Drop is a must.
Grab a casual lunch at El Loco Fresh (tacos and nachos) before heading to The Hideaway. This is your 18+ haven. It’s a Vegas-style beach club with the first suspended infinity pool at sea, a resident DJ, and dedicated bar.
For the evening, grab dinner at the Aquadome Market (tons of options) before your pre-booked, jaw-dropping "Aqua Action!" show.
After, the night is yours. Start with the high-energy, sing-along fun at the Dueling Pianos bar. Then, hit the Casino, check out the live music at Point & Feather pub, or dance the night away. The perfect end to the night is a 2 AM slice of free pizza from Sorrento's.
HIGHLIGHTS:

In the afternoon, relax by one of the massive pools at Chill Island.
For dinner, the Main Dining Room is a great choice, followed by a must-see, pre-booked show like the incredible "Wizard of Oz" or the "Starburst" ice show. End the night with free ice cream from Sprinkles before bed!

DAY4
St. Thomas
Close Day
A hub for duty-free shopping, stunning vistas, and the world-famous Magens Bay beach.
As a cruise traveler in St. Thomas, your day is all about stunning views, world-class beaches, and shopping.
Most visitors pick one of three adventures:
Beach & View Tour: Head to the world-famous Magens Bay, a beautiful, mile-long crescent of calm, white sand perfect for swimming and relaxing. Combine this with a trip to Mountain Top (for a famous banana daiquiri) or Drake's Seat for breathtaking photos overlooking the bay and neighboring islands.
Shopping & History: Explore the capital, Charlotte Amalie. This historic Danish town is a hotspot for duty-free shopping for jewelry, rum, and perfume. While there, you can explore the quaint alleys and climb the iconic 99 Steps for a great view.
Island Hop to St. John: For the ultimate nature day, take a taxi to the Red Hook ferry terminal and ride over to St. John. Two-thirds of this island is a pristine National Park. From there, it's a short ride to Trunk Bay to snorkel its famous underwater trail.
HIGHLIGHTS:
It's consistently named one of the world's most beautiful beaches—Magens Bay

St. Kitts and Nevis
Close Day
Historic forts, lush volcanic peaks, and sandy beaches await.
St. Kitts is a fantastic family adventure, mixing history, nature, and beautiful beaches.
Start your day at the Brimstone Hill Fortress, a real-life castle on a hill! Kids will love exploring the huge stone walls, spotting the giant cannons, and feeling like the king of the island with its amazing ocean views.
For a unique and easy adventure, hop on the St. Kitts Scenic Railway. This colorful, open-air, double-decker train circles the island. It’s a fun ride for all ages, passing old sugar plantations and friendly villages.
When it's time to relax, head to the beach. Cockleshell Bay is perfect for families, with very calm, clear water for swimming and playing.

A truly Perfect Day in the Caribbean
Perfect Day at CocoCay is Royal Caribbean's private island, designed for the ultimate, hassle-free beach day. When you get off the ship, you have two main choices, all connected by a free tram.
The "Thrill" Side: This is home to the Thrill Waterpark (a paid add-on). It features Daredevil's Peak (the tallest waterslide in North America), a massive wave pool, and numerous other slides. You can also ride the zip line across the harbor.
The "Chill" Side: This is the free part of the island. You can head to Oasis Lagoon, the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean, complete with a swim-up bar and a lively DJ. Or, find a free lounge chair and umbrella at Chill Island or South Beach for classic, calm beach relaxation.
Food is included at several large buffets like Skipper's Grill and Chill Grill.
For an extra fee, you can also access exclusive areas like the upscale Coco Beach Club (with its overwater cabanas) or the 18+ Hideaway Beach party zone.

Retired and Enjoying Life on Icon of the Seas
Begin your day with a relaxing breakfast at Park Cafe, located in the tranquil, open-air Central Park neighborhood.
Afterward, head to the Aquadome. This stunning, climate-controlled indoor space at the front of the ship offers comfortable seating and breathtaking 270-degree ocean views, perfect for reading or enjoying a coffee.
For lunch, the Aquadome Market provides diverse, casual options. Spend your afternoon at the Chill Island pool deck, finding a quiet lounge chair to soak in the sun.
In the evening, enjoy a wonderful seated meal in the Main Dining Room or at a specialty restaurant like Chops Grille. Your entertainment highlight will be the spectacular, full-scale Broadway production of "The Wizard of Oz" (reserve this in advance!).
End your perfect day with a cocktail while listening to live music at Lou's Jazz 'n Blues in Central Park.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Don't pass up Central Park. Slight breeze and plenty of shade!

Disembarking in Miami
Disembarkation is an organized process that begins the night before. You will receive luggage tags (based on your deck or chosen time) and must place your packed bags outside your stateroom by a set time.
Alternatively, you can choose "Self-Assist" and carry all your own luggage off the ship.
On the final morning, you'll have one last breakfast (Windjammer or Main Dining Room) and must vacate your stateroom by 8 AM.
Self-Assist guests can disembark first, as soon as the ship is cleared by authorities. All other guests wait in designated public lounges (like the theater or lounges) until their luggage tag number is called over the intercom.
Once your number is called, you'll exit the ship, scanning your SeaPass card a final time. You'll enter the massive Terminal A, find your suitcases in the large, color-coded luggage hall, and then proceed to U.S. Customs (which is typically a fast, facial-recognition scan for U.S. citizens) before heading to your transportation.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Check out the Royal App for your departure details.
FINAL THOUGHTS
It's the ultimate vacation. Icon has 8 "neighborhoods," a record-breaking water park, 7 pools (including an adults-only oasis), and Broadway's "Wizard of Oz." It’s an entire world of thrills and relaxation on one ship.
