Darby understood the landscape we wanted to cover in our 15 year dream to visit the West Coast/Canadian Rockies. It was an aggressive two weeks, but we were ready! She wrote letters to the hotel managers expressing extra special care of her clients. Included beautiful prepared itinerary in our travel documents which we referenced often. Everything went amazingly well with the 6 hotels, 3 airplanes, 2 ferries, 2 trains, & transfer limo's. We felt like we were treated like royalty - well done Darby!

Darby worked with us on all the arrangements and was very responsive answering our questions. She made suggestions which we integrated into our plans. One was a stopover in Seattle which made the fight to Fairbanks more palatable and allowed us to tour Seattle. Another was the add on days in Vancouver when we toured Vancouver and spent a day in Victoria.
Darby arranged the tours and shuttles for us at each location. We felt that, with Darby, we we were in very good hands and wensisnt lose any time in our destinations because our arrangements were very clear.

My experience working with Darby was fabulous. She handled all of the details helping me create a unique personalized vacation.
It was my first trip alone to Europe, so I was unsure of what to expect. Darby walked me through each step of the trip from planning what I wanted to do, finding the best options for travel, hotels, excursions, and transfers from station to station. Before I left, we had a wonderful one-on-one review where she answered all of my questions.
Throughout the trip, she kept an eye on my journey, reminding me to check in for flights, and generally being there. It was reassuring to have someone ready to help in any situation.

Darby spent a lot of time not only picking a location that would work for our family's needs, but, then taking care of every detail to ensure a fantastic vacation! This was our first family trip to Mexico and I was quite nervous about all of the details and I contacted Darby frequently to check on many things. She took the time to go over everything with me and even adjusted our dates of the trip which needed to be changed - always with a very relaxed demeanor. Also, we mistakenly mixed up the dates for one of our excursion while in Mexico and when we contacted Darby, she took care of arranging an alternate date for us! Maui Family Vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation to Maui and Honolulu which was set up by Darby. She provided our family of five with a well planned trip including travel to and from the islands, a lei greeting when we stepped off the plane, an inter-island flight, and car service to and from the airport and to the Pearl Harbor Memorial. We did have one problem with the air conditioning at our Maui accommodations, but Darby was right there to coordinate with the resort management getting us a replacement, upgraded villa. What started as a once-in-a-lifetime trip has turned into, "we can't wait to go back." Thanks Darby!

Darby is simply the best. My friend and I had planned the trip of a lifetime to cruise the Nile in Egypt in March 2022. COVID-19 made for many challenges, but Darby gave sound counsel and showed amazing patience with us as we wrangled flight arrangement and then ultimately decided we needed to cancel the trip. She dealt with the cruise line, which would not rebook or reimburse the full amount, and met with us multiple times to provide options and advice on our insurance policy. She is extremely professional and went above and beyond. The best decision I made was having her as my travel adviser. It would have been heck without her and going forward (especially as COVID may be here to stay in some capacity) I won't plan a trip without her. She's just that good.

Perfect Trip Planning

Darby planned our entire trip to Paris and Normandy, France over Christmas and New Years. Darby was an absolute pleasure to work with and we let her totally take the reins in selection of hotel and airlines and tour selection. She took care of every little detail of planning our trip and it went flawlessly. From the selection of hotels to advice on how to best see the sites we wanted to visit, it was all perfect. While we were traveling, she even responded to emails from the hotel for us, taking care of early check-in logistics so we didnt have to. By the time I saw the emails, she had already taken care of it. She sent us all of our travel documents in a well organized binder (which we nicknamed "the Darby purse"), even with printed tags for our luggage. Everything we needed was in this binder, I never had to print a thing. She reminded us of things we needed to bring and made sure we had reservations for New Years dinner. I can't say enough about the value of Darby's expertise

Another AMAZING Trip to Italy

Darby organized a trip to Italy for us around a previously scheduled Destination Wedding in Tuscany. Flights, transfers, restaurant reservations, and accommodations all worked out perfectly. Activities that we scheduled were fun with fantastic guides. We wanted to make a small change the schedule and having access to the local tour company and Darby was immensely helpful. We had a day with no plans built into the last location, which worked out well because our tour guide went to the ER that morning. We did not realize this at first, so we called the local tour agent. She figured out what had happened, and she was able to reschedule our biking plans to the "free day." Lesson learned is that being able to roll with the punches allows for more enjoyment in the end.

We really enjoyed working with Darby! She put together a fabulous itinerary for our trip to Rome and Florence. Prior to our departure we received a package from Darby that once again outlined and detailed everything we would be doing. My husband loved this! From drivers to private tours with professional tour guides, restaurant suggestions and hotels. It was wonderful to not have to think too much about anything and there was not one hiccup during the whole trip. I did have a quick question during the trip, emailed her and she was quick to respond. She also did not "over plan" our days, it was the perfect balance of fabulous siteseeing with the right amount of down time. We look forward to using Darby again in the future and would absolutely recommend her!

Once in a Lifetime - Africa Adventure

Darby was AMAZING she took her time to know exactly what me and my boys were looking for on our adventure to Africa. She coordinated calls with local affiliates in Africa to help organize, took us from planning to payment to our destination without one hiccup - and we had a lot of activities going on where something could have easily gone wrong (transfer, pick-up, hotel, agenda) and NOTHING went wrong, all went so smoothly. The hotels were beautiful and centrally located and the people she hooked us up with in Africa were amazing as well. This trip could not have been executed without her guidance and we are SO happy we chose to work with her. We are definitely looking forward to our next adventure planned by Darby's Destinations.

My husband and I worked with Darby to plan our honeymoon in Italy. We started a little late in planning our trip, but Darby made it work and was positive and responsive throughout the process. Darby made a somewhat complicated trip (with a lot of movement among different regions) totally seamless. All of the private car transfers were on time and the drivers were friendly and professional. The hotels that Darby chose were perfect for our needs. Darby even arranged for champagne and red roses at one of our first hotels in honor of our honeymoon! Darby went above and beyond in helping plan and execute our trip to Italy in May. My daughter was studying in Italy and I came for a long weekend. She expertly handled all our flights, transfers and accommodations. The hotels that Darby found were just the perfect match for our mother daughter experience. Not only was it easy setting up my trip, it was easy at the airports. I am not a frequent flyer, airport functions and systems can be confusing if your not familiar with them. Darby, thank you for planning our family vacation. It was PERFECT! Italy was all we could have imaged and more! The history and architecture was just amazing!
The personal car drivers were on time, personable and engaging each and every time. The drivers were very aware of our timelines and did everything necessary to get us to our events on time. The tour guides you selected where extremely knowledgeable, engaging and passionate about the history of their country! The hotel matched our traveling needs exactly, were conveniently located to match our itinerary, very clean with a wonderful and friendly staff that went out of their way to accommodate our requests. This was our first time using a travel agent instead of arranging the details of a trip ourselves... and it was a fantastic experience! Darby has a wealth of knowledge, experience and advice... things we never would have thought of.
Flights and connections were smooth, private transfers were a luxury, hotels were perfectly positioned in every town for our planned activities, even the rental car got 50mpg!!

This is our second time working with Darby. Our first trip was to Italy, and we were so impressed with every detail of the trip we knew we would use Darby again. She was patient as we decided and researched many ideas for us. We decided on Walt Disney World. An absolute pleasure! Darby was amazing to work with from the first moment we contacted her. She listened to what we wanted, and created a trip which was perfect for all of us. Between a private tour of the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica, a night tour of the Coliseum, and bike ride (complete with Vineyard tour and tasting!) through Tuscany, Darby took care of every detail, each step of the way.
When our flight home was cancelled, Darby helped us navigate alternatives and tracked us until we arrived back in Boston.

The entire trip from flying , shuttle and checking g into the resort was planned with. I flaw . This was the same for the way home. We had so many ideas - cruise, Disney, Universal? What to pick?? Darby made it ALL happen! And affordably! It's hard to please 7 people, ages 12 to 70, but Darby had great advice and made sure everyone (including 4 teenagers!) got what they wanted, and not break the bank. Everything she suggested turned out to be 5 stars in our eyes. She even gave us hints as to where to get the shuttle at the airport and best way to use our Fast Passes. Starting from the ease of communication with Darby which includes her patience with schedule changes and trip detail changes, everything needed for the trip was handled with ease and confidence. Everything was great! Our family of 5 had an excellent time in Hawaii! Maui was beautiful. Our visit to Pearl Harbor, in Oahu, was fantastic due, in part, to the tour company. Our guide, John was awesome.

Darby did a fantastic job researching our options for a trip to Chicago. We arrived at our hotel and she had sent a courtesy VIP letter introducing us to the hotel, and when we checked in they gave us free drink coupons because it was my husbands birthday while we were there.
She also took the extra time to look up and include some dining recommendations to popular restaurants on our itinerary, which saved us some time.
All in all we had a great trip and were very pleased with Darby's service. We will definitely be booking future vacations with Darby!!

Darby has worked with us on 2 fairly complext trips over the past 3 years (2013 and 2015). She is excellent at working with us on framing the trip, doing the research associated with finding high service providers that are cost effective. In addition, Darby has worked with us on making changes, as well as ensuring all details are in place and followed.
A key part of Darby's service is that she re-verifies with hotels and other services just prior to the trip and throughout the trip to ensure the customer is well taken care of.

Darby was instrumental in helping us plan a large group going to Beaches Turks and Caicos. She answered all of our questions (and with that size group there were lots) She was extremely knowledgeable about the resort and all of the accommodations. We had the misfortune of a missed connection home due to weather but Darby spent several hours that evening trying to assist us with hotels, shuttles home and re-booking flights for us the next day. She also assisted us in filing our insurance claim for our travel delay. She certainly went above and beyond making sure we had everything covered during our trip and coming home. I would highly recommend her for any of your travel needs we would have been lost without her.

I contacted Darby when I was looking into booking a Disney cruise and there were so many options I didn't know where to start. Darby did everything! Vegas Get Away

My husband and I wanted to renew our 10th year wedding vows in Vegas. We usually book on our own or with AAA, but this time we went with Darby;s Destinations. It was so much easier and we really didn't have to do a thing. Darby did everything for u! She also sent a letter to the hotel manager before hand letting them know we were having our anniversary. As a result they seemed to take extra good care of us and bumped us to a nicer room. It was so easy having Darby book the hotel, flights and transportation to the hotel. She also made some great suggestions as where to go and what else to do while in Vegas. We knew if anything went wrong on our travels we could just pick up the phone and ask Darby for assistance. You can't get that when you book your own trip or with AAA. I highly suggest using darby's Destinations it you want to take a trip and leave the worries at home.

Trip to Southern France

My family decided to go on this trip fairly last minute (5 people from 3 different cities) to Marseille and Nice in peak vacation season. Darby made the whole process incredibly smooth. She was able to find the best flights to get everyone to the destination with all the arrivals within 15 minutes. Our accommodations were great and in very good locations. She also checked in during the trip to make sure everything was going smoothly and kept us updated on any flight delays in case we needed to change plans. Great First Night in Boston

I contacted Darby for recommendations on where to stay and what to do for First Night in Boston this past year. Although it was a local trip lasting less than 24 hours, you might think it was a trek around Europe with the effort she put in. The itinerary she provided was just great to have as we moved from place to place, and the VIP client letter she sent to the hotel on our behalf made my teenage son feel like royalty.
