Some people first catch the travel bug while studying abroad as college students or booking honeymoon adventures with their sweethearts.

Others, like me, are travel enthusiasts the moment they got their passport. Given my early love of exploration, it was only fitting that I found myself working as a travel consultant. In the last Twelve years, I have established one of the most significant travel agencies in Western Canada with 43 travel agents.

As a travel agent, my goal is to help a variety of clients book their dream vacations. I am particularly passionate about planning Caribbean getaways, in part, because I have spent so much time there in the past.

I believe that, by pursuing a wide array of personal travel adventures, I have better positioned myself to provide accurate feedback for my valued clients. In fact, my favorite trip involved a stay at the Exuma region of the Bahamas, where I was able to relax on some of the world's most beautiful beaches and sample five-star cuisine.

Thorough research is essential, of course, but I believe that vacationers are best served when they work with travel agents who have actually visited the destinations they book. There's something about a firsthand travel experience that just cannot be replicated by reading a book or glancing at resort reviews.
