My Journeys to Cancun

Over the years,I have had a few occasions to travel to Cancun. It is by far one of my favorite destinations! Cancun beaches are made of beautiful white sand, and with the coral reef not too far away, there are many beautriful fish to swim with, shells to be found, and plenty of sun's rays to soak up. For about $70.00US you can go snorkeling in National Park of Puerto Morelose with a company called EXTREME adventure. of the best snorkeling locations where you can view colorful fish and corals, with time afterward at the fishing village of Puerto Morelos. Includes lunch at the beach club.  

Xel-Ha    is a stunning natural aquarium.Snorkeling , spelunking in caves all enclosed in a beautiful park, use the snorkel equipment and inner tubes ,or lounge on the beach chairs........ take a siesta in a hammock.Souvenirs and photos are available.this is a family friendly excursion and it is all inclusive, featuring an all you can  eat buffet. 

There are Museums and ruins to explore as well- the Mayan Museum of Cancun has ruins nearby where you can learn about the culture in Mexico,  Zona Arqueleologica El Rey are ruins set right in the hotel zone, highlighted by ancient structures, with both a self guided or informative guided tour, and plenty of iguanas! 

For the thrill seekers, Xavage park by Xcaret is a GREAT place to get that adrenaline pumping vibe on! This is an adventure theme park south of Cancun that offers activities like white water rafting, riding monster trucks, and a ropes course and much, much more. These sell out quickly, so you'll want to make reservations early. 

Piston Pueblo is another thrill seeking adventure. It is a motorsports theme park for the entire family. Even in bad weather, there is plenty of fun to be had.  You will race through the jungle in our Can-Am Maverick side by side ATV's in Cancunbreak the track recoprd in our Dirt Go Kartsand ride a monster truck while shooting and annihilating zombies. 

Slow things down a little and take the rope course through Xavage in Riviera Maya. Rafting or kayaking, then take the zipline back down for a jet boat ride and dinner- because it's all included at Xavage. 

Make sure- if you do nothing else, go swimming in a cenote (see pic this page) To get to a cenote, you descend into a cave with a low ceiling. Beautiful rock formations and delve into crystal clear artificially illuminated waters that are perfect for swimming or snorkeling. Officially, all cenotes are public and government property, but access to them can be private, as is this one, in a the backyard of a family's home near Chichen Itza.

Cancun has activities for everyone, from the pristine beaches and all inclusive hotels to ziplining, Tequilla tasting, and the ruins, the young and old will appreciate the spectrum of fun filled adventures cancun offers.
