Head to the Mutianyu or Badaling sections of the wall for a hike along this ancient wonder, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.Day 4-5: Xi'an. Fly or take a high-speed train to Xi'an, the starting point of the ancient Silk Road and home to the world-famous Terracotta Army. These life-sized statues were buried with the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, to protect him in the afterlife. Explore the excavation site and museum, marveling at the thousands of unique soldiers, horses, and chariots. In Xi'an, also visit the Ancient City Wall, one of the best-preserved city walls in China.
