We were actually above the sunset! After we watched the sun retreat, we stargazed from just below the summit, where the views of the Milky Way were unmatched. One of the most magical moments in Hawaii was a sunset cruise along the Na Pali Coast. As the boat sailed along the rugged coastline, the cliffs rose dramatically from the ocean, painted in shades of orange, red, and purple as the sun dipped lower in the sky. The tranquility of the ocean, the soft glow of the fading light, and the gentle sway of the boat made this experience a perfect close to the day. Maui is also a haven for beach lovers, with sprawling sands at Wailea and the unique red sand beach at Kaihalulu. Kauai, often referred to as “The Garden Isle,” captivates visitors with its verdant landscapes and less-touristy vibe. Here, you must check out Waimea Canyon, known as the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” as well as the aforementioned Na Pali Coast. While sunset cruise is one way to go, this coastline can also be appreciated by helicopter or by foot along the Kalalau Trail, offering yet another way to experience this island’s rugged charm.
